Anyone in Withcote House on GMS/know anything I should know about it/have any pictures of it? I can't find anything about it on le.ac.uk or anywhere...

E.g. How big is it? How many people does it accomodate?

    Thanks

Hi I've been put in Digby Hall for accommodation, yellow block, first floor, flat 4, room G, anyone near me? also does anybody know how many people which will share a bathroom in there? thanks
I'm yellow block, first floor, flat 4, room C! I'm so happy I've found someone in my flat. Digby wasn't my first choice for accommodation and I have no idea what it will be like!

It is right at the top of GMS (3 minute walk to the dining hall). Almost opposite the road from JoFo. Between the Sports Hall/Running Track and Bowder Court.

Holds 30 people. Two floors of 14 and then 2 rooms with en-suites on top. 1 kitchen and 4 bathrooms per floor (ground and first).

Very sociable house with 30 people, and there are 7 very similar buildings in that area.

To anyone asking about Digby you won't have seen it as it's been a building site for a while whilst they renovated it and changed it from catered to self

It's at the bottom of Stoughton Drive, the road with Beaumont on, and is close to Asda. You'll be the first year to stay there since it was renovated

Oh that's cool, I'd much rather experience a great social life than a nicer room! I was thinking of giving the bus pass a miss, then I can save on that and a gym subscription and just walk everywhere!
Yeah I'd suggest getting a cheap bike though. Walking from Mary Gee to the better gym on manor road takes about 20 minutes. Walking to campus from Mary Gee around 25. It's all flat though so you can do it in no time with a bike...

Wow! Well done on getting in! . I'm studying Computer Science, love all things technology . Ahh you're gonna have a fairly long journey . I'm only coming from Derby so staying in the Midlands. Leicester would be a major upgrade in terms nightlife and sheer size from tiny Derby haha so I feel like I'm moving to New York lol. Have you seen Digby by any chance? I didn't visit on the open days so have no idea what to expect!

Yeah I wanted an en suite too! I think ground floor is always boys and first floor is always girls so at least that's good! and I'm sure it will be, happy we are close to ASDA
