Shame on you Djokovic. Pathetic display and loses it again on a DF.

DF on match point lol. A fitting end to such a disappointing effort from Djokovic.

People keep hyping Djokovic saying that he will beat Nadal at RG because he was able to overcome Nadal at other clay tournaments. Well, they keep forgetting that Nadal is a different animal at the FO and just like Federer, Novak will have to hope that someone takes out Rafa early otherwise he ain't gonna complete the career slam.

Yeah, I remember. Felt it was going to happen before it did with Novak looking nervous and the French crowd whistling him.

Very disappointed as a Nole fan he was far from his best but hopefully he uses this to spur him on to a great rest of the season. Congrats to Rafa, never gives up and well deserved

Novak is the second most overrated tennis player after Murray.

Cant even complete a Career Slam.

    Vamos Rafa!

Novak has lost 5 out of his last 6 slam finals and some people call him a mental giant. Lol! The only year where he was mentally strong was 2011, but other than that he has always choked in big, pressure situations. I've been watching him since 2007 and I know what I'm talking about.

I feel bad for Novak - he kept trying but his best tennis wasn't there today. Nadal deserves the trophy.

One really wonders what needs to be done to beat Rafa on that court.

Just not mentally strong enough in the slams unfortunately.

Campeon Rafa!!!!!! Just cannot believe his accomplishments at RG - 9 Grand Slams there and a record that will surely never be broken. Also the only man to win a slam 10 consecutive years. Phenomenal.

Disappointment for Djokovic, must be so sad for him. Did anyone see the sardonic thumbs up at the end to the douche who called out on second serve.

Come on guys stop belittling Nole. Who was he facing today? One of the ****ing toughest mental giants, in any sport, ever. He's not going to win all of them against Rafa.

As long as this doesn't break Djoko mentally - now he's lost again, last year's defeat might be even more significant in his mind
Federer has gone through this phase too.

Nadal has done a beautiful job of silencing his critics

He was there for the taking in 2011 by Djokovic but Federer denied that potential match-up. He was looking vulnerable in 2012 but the Monday restart threw Djokovic off his rhythm as he was a slow starter back then. Djokovic had chances to go a double break in the fifth in 2013 and was on course to serve out the match until he slipped over the net. In 2013 and 2014 weather conditions were perfect for Nadal.

Not denying that it is incredibly difficult to beat him here, but unbeatable he is not and he has undeniably benefitted from slices of fortune over the past four years.

Fair enough, but no-one's been able to properly get it done - that day may only come when Rafa's forehand starts to fail him on clay.

A range of excuses but simply Rafa is better all round player than Novak.
