I found writing my statement quite fun
More like the most frustrating piece of writing I've ever had to write.
Fiddling with the word count/line spacing on UCAS alone: asdfghjkl

Same, it actually gave me an idea of who I am, if you know what I mean?

I just need to cut it down now. I've reached a good statement but at 4500 characters.

Applying for single honors Economics. So far my short list is:
    Exeter - A*AA-AAB
    Southampton - AAA/AAB + a (epq)
    Surrey/royal holloway - AAB
    Reading - ABB

Gone for 2 'high risks' since I'm most likely (90% sure unless maths teacher is super nice - unlikely) going to be predicted AAB, though my Gcses are very bog standard average and I plan to retake 2 maths exam >.<

How's your choices rolling out bud?

What AS grades did you get?

At A2 I know that I'll be predicted an A in economics, haven't asked about Geography or Maths, Im hoping for an A and B respectively.

    My University choices are:
    1. industrial Economics - Nottingham - AAB
    2. Econ and Finance - Surrey - AAB
    3. Sussex or York - AAB
    4. Kent - Financial Economics - ABB
    5. Swansea - Economics and Finance - BBB

I think I might go Kent, as that looks the nicest and coolest course (but not ranked as high as the others).

I went to Loughborough on Saturday, I didn't really like it as much as Nottingham

Kent looks really fab and so did loughborough Thinking myself of applying to Kent myself.

I managed for as to get abbcc (C's in GSudies and ICT)
I was reading on the tsr's 5 rejection article and what particularly shakes me is the 'consistency' between AS and predictions. If there's a not a great deal of consistency, the chances of rejection are greater

At the moment at school, I've kind of ignored Economics and mainly focused on maths (since I did fairly poor in Maths for AS, so gotta pull up the socks!)
Also i got a talk with a careers advisor tomorrow...should be fun..

How come Sussex's entry requirements were AAB-ABB last night (I know as I emailed them) but today they say AAB?

    Hmm.

From an email about 3 hours ago, the guy said this (attached picture). I think they might have just recently changed it higher.

Why are Sussex's entry requirements so high anyway? It's ranked like 35th but want AAB, with those grades I could go to a top 15 University (York, Surrey) or even Kent on an ABB.

Neither did I! A teacher mentioned it during a personal statement help session near the end of the year.
It was slightly harder due to some of the weird q's but need thought I did thaaat good

They offered the chance to go to Westminster and pick up my certificate, but I'll probably have to leave it
