I'm a second year child nurse at a different uni, so may be able to shed some light. When they say your ps isn't strong enough, its not usually to do with experience as most under 18s struggle to get experience within the NHS, which they are understanding of. It usually refers to your understanding of what nursing entails, how you feel you would fulfil the role, as well as what you would bring to the course and the career.
I hope that helps you should it get brought up again

Thanks for your reply, that's really helpful. I have two interviews next week for Surrey and kingston, so fingers crossed. I have had interviews but subsequent rejections from hertfordshire and London South bank....onwards and upwards! 😄

    Hiya roomies,

I need a little advice. I have applied to City, South Bank, Middlesex, Greenwich and Kings.

Sadly i was rejected from both Kings and Greenwich but i have been offered a date for an assessment at Middlesex. I am very nervous and do not know what to expect. i have not been to university in 10 years.
Also has anyone applied to Southbank University? I completed a Mendas questionnaire but i am not sure what happens afterwards or how long until they get back to you.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

By assessment I assume you mean maths and English tests?

For Middlesex definitely use http://www.snap.nhs.uk http://www.move-on.org.uk - I sat the tests last year and these helped a lot especially as majority of the questions on the snap website came up. Good luck!

    Hello Lea,

Apologies about KCL and Greenwich I too applied for London South Bank two weeks before the christmas break and I only got offered an assessment date a day after I called them to ask about the status of my application.

You should hear from them this week hopefully, but if not, it wouldn't hurt to call them as I did and just ask.

I don't know much about the assessment/interview process at Middlesex, but assuming they do a maths test, this website might help you with practicing some questions --> http://legacy.snap-services.org/demo.aspx

    Hope this helps
Good-luck with everything! And try not to be nervous or get too stressed!!! x Diana

Applying for PgDip Nursing, do these numbers of postgrad student counts suggest the amount of student intakes per respective uni hence more likely to get a place at those with a greater intake?

    LSBU ; 4,695 postgrads
    Greenwich ; 5,300
    Sheffield ; 8,657
    City ; 7,528
    Kingston ; 4.206
    Middlesex ; 4,380

You change if it's within seven days of applying.
