From what I've seen if you don't get an A* in science you will fail it at A-level OWTTE questioning why someone was happy getting a B in English and not an A*, things along those lines
I got an A* in Physics then failed at A-Level... What does that make me?

But I agree, achievements are very individualistic and one person's opinion is not fact

Maybe not, but it can be one of my own words, like mahusive (best said in a Scottish accent )

Surely everyone has words that aren't really words but they like to use? Or is this just one of my weird traits?

    I'm sorry but :facepalm2:

What everyone else got, shouldn't be of your concern Also no Uni, selects on no. of A*'s at GCSE

I know there's a step up: I got BBB at triple science but now I'm on track for an A  (with a lot of work)

He needs to keep his opinions to himself and stop putting people down because they don't reach his "level" including advising people about A-levels, he doesn't quite grasp people have different strengths not all of which are maths

    I know
    Very impressive.

Personally I don't think many GCSEs do a decent job of preparing people for A-Level, but that's immaterial. He really does need to stop putting people down, and stop trying to invent Maths before he's finished his GCSE in it.

 The simplistic "My condolences" is absolutely hilarious.

Agreed completely, apart from the very last part. Obviously the most important criteria are A-Levels and aptitude tests, references, PS and the like, but there are certain universities and courses that discriminate quite harshly with regards to GCSEs (looking at you, LSE, UCL and medicine  )

The most important thing is that everyone should be happy with what they got, provided they put the effort in and aren't the victim of a horrid marking error. :yep:

    Thank you

GCSEs are spoon fed, admittedly A-levels are to an extent relative to degrees.

Completely agree with the bits in bold :yep:

 he brings it on himself
