I'm still waiting for UCL and Nottingham (my first and last choice respectively)

Do unis offer the good applicants (with received AS grades of like AAA-BBC) first and wait out the risky ones to see if the good ones will fill up the spaces? Or do they just offer at random?
I think it is just random to be honest! I received AS grades CCC and the universities of Kent, Canterbury Christ, Southampton and Portsmouth have all offered me places for studying history, many with around ABB requirements. Although I was in hospital for many months last year (end of November to April) and my tutor has included that in my reference so I'm not sure whether they've taken that into account as they said they would.

It doesn't just depend on AS grades though, references and personal statement is just as important for some unis!

I sat one year at one college and got DEE (biology, maths and french respectively),
moved colleges and resat the year and now got ACCE (psychology, maths, biology, chemistry respectively).

Predicted A*AA (with two retakes) as my C's were 3 ums off B's.

Applied for psychology on 4th November

Offer from Kings College London AAA on 5th November
Offer from Queen Mary AAB - 11th November
Offer from Royal Holloway AAB - 11th November

So yeah, I think they just do it at random!

Hahah same! Where are you applying to?
Hahaha that's so cool! I'm applying to Oxford, Durham, St Andrews, UCL and Exeter I've received an offer from Exeter so far (36 points with a 6 in HL English). I'm so glad they stuck to their typical offer because last year I heard they had a tendency to give higher offers. Where are you applying to and have you received any offers so far?

Predicted A*AA with ACCE at AS? :/
    Yeah?
    I got an A in psychology (100% and 94%),
C in maths (A,B,U) So retaking the U (had a bad day)
C in biology, (B,C and 100% in coursework) so retaking the C

Teachers said it's easy for me to get an A overall at AS and I've been getting over 90% in all the tests we've had so far at A2
