If what I hear about the last hour or two is true, that is about a dozen votes or so all to a single party, it does smell somewhat of questionable, if not outright illegal play, I.e. some form of directed canvassing, and if on site probably explicitly against the rules.

That's disgraceful if it's true. For the avoidance of any doubt, any investigation will prove that Labour has categorically not done anything wrong, and if one of our members is found to have broken the rules of their own accord then they will obviously be proceeded against by the party with the utmost severity.

I would argue that it is unfair to make the CT dupe check every single voter who voted because it would be a lot of work.
Perhaps a better future idea would be to make an 'electoral role' and only people who are registered can vote.
He's meaning looking beyond what they already look at

This is all my fault. I endorse another Lab-Lib government, then they suffer a net loss of two seats. Nothing has a happy ending when I'm involved.

I'm considering leaving the House after this.
I didn't actually see your endorsement so I don't think that was down to you. Don't leave us, we need as many indies as we can get! :console:

It's nice having new faces like you around though, and it'd be a shame to see you depart.

You're pretty much free to voice your opinions if you join us btw. I mean, we're The Liberals
I'm not that new, and bad luck really does follow me wherever I go. You may not believe in luck, but there has to be some way of explaining it...

I know, that's why I respect your party so much... But quite honestly, I'm not in the right frame of mind at the moment. I don't really want to leave, but it's for the best...

Aww, I'd love to stay but I think I need to go. There's a reason but it's personal and you'd think it's silly if I told everyone.

    Am I? Are they?
It's just the typical right-wing rhetoric of always calling to question the Speaker's neutrality just because he's a from a bloody leftist party. For some reason they can't seem to comprehend the fact that MPs become neutral under the Speaker title if they're from a left-wing party.

You're a great addition to the House and no-one would think you silly whatever your reason is.

If Labour had reason to believe that we received a significant number of votes right before the polls closed I somehow doubt they would have kept quiet about the "coincidence"

I just honestly don't recall making a habit of passing off anything as 'coincidence' - never mind 'clear dodgy dealing'.

If I was really biased I could have just used my 500 bonus 'Speaker-votes' to pick who I wanted to win.

Ah well, they got used to Faland as Speaker (and he was pretty much a Communist lol) so I'm sure they'll get used to me. Eventually.

Possibly, but this rhetoric has been recited a few times before this over small issues, the most recent being that stupid issue of Labour having a party thread outside the MHoC.

Lol and hopefully they will, although at least you can trust a communist to be a bit less biased to other left-wingers jk

Lol, true. When ever I think that I'm getting a lot of aggravation for doing my job I remember his facing a VONC 180 seconds after being elected and I remember that I have it easy.
