I'd say this paper was slightly harder then the last 2.
Descriptive questions were pretty easy though

What was the potential difference across the 150 uF capacitor? (I got 1.5V)
I got 4.5 for the 150 uF capacitor and 1.5 for the 450 uF capacitor.. I'm probably wrong juts used V=Q/C

The calculations wernt though. Fission/PET wouldnt of been revised too much however the rest of the descriptive stuff was easy.

where did you get Q from? all they gave us was the P.D + Capacitance 1+2

Everyone gets lulled into a false sense of security with those.

on a serious note, they were pretty easy Trust me I've aced it all

1) alpha scattering experiment
2) three forces
3) Medical Tracers
4) PET
5) Ultrasound
6) nucleur Qs
7) fate of universe

no thinking involved whatsoever

I missed out 5 marks for the nature force question
so retarded....
but I think I get at least 70marks for this paper
and I only need 97/150UMS to achieve A grade so I hope this is definetly possible

exactly. Those questions were just a matter of rattling information stored in your brain if you had bothered to do revision for those topics.

Just wait, the mark scheme will include a number of mandatory underlined words OCR throw in to look fancy.

I know what you mean. I think I pretty much hit all the points (or at least most of them - apart from ultrasound). But you never know how picky they're going to be with the wording.

Yeah - and the 'easier' the question the more strict they get with the wording.

Lol This!

They like to be sneaky like that. You could have the right answers but not phrase it the way they want and not get the marks.

Yeah I think I went a bit ahead of myself because the Q is constant I think so I just did Q=VC by using the total capacitance and then when I found Q I divided it by 150uF to get 4.5

Yeah and I have included those mandatory words

for example the PET you have to mention

1) radioactive tracer
2) Position emitter
3) annihilation Position with electron
4) 2 gamma rays released of equal energies travelling in opposite directions
5) Gamma camera used to analyse
