Um, there is a mention of the Doctor. In this trailer and in the last episode (which I have watched and know exactly what happens and won't spoil :yep:

) but the Doctor himself won't be appearing in Torchwood.

Exactly; if the Doctor swooped in and saved the world it'd be called Doctor Who: Children of Earth. It's been that mainstream so far it might as well be though.
