People not thinking about others - little things I suppose like putting your feet on chairs when your shoes are muddy/not enough chairs. I don't generally mention it but it really bugs me. There may be a reason I'm so quiet

People using the imaginary word 'alot' when they mean the two seperate words a lot!

I have ocd. I cannot sit on a toilet without cleaning it or putting paper down.

People that are proud in being ignorant. By that I mean not taking an active interest in current affairs and politics but spend a huge amount of time in being interested in such irrelevant issues as celebrities and the Lfactor.

I can't phone someone just for a chat. There has to be a point to a phone call, even ringing home to talk to my family.

However I send ridiculous amounts of pointless text messages

I cant eat beans that have been cooked by anyone else. Seriously. I can make beans on toast for myself, or with a fryup etc and love em...

But if someone else cooks them for me, the beans psychologically transform into a disgusting image of putrid vomit or something... It just repulses me to look at them and the thought of eating them makes me urge.

Apart from that I'm not insane.

Do the colours change with the genre of music? How do the colours appear in front of you?

I'm not a shy person (used to be very shy but got over it) and happy to talk about something I have an interest in, but when it comes onto small talk I get really bored, say nothing, and come across as very unsociable. If I try to explain that to anyone, I get weird looks.

I become very nervous and withdrawn in group social situations unless I know the people involved very well individually beforehand. It's incredibly frustrating as I'm actually a pretty confident and social person otherwise, and I've lost count of the number of people who have told me how different I am (in a good way) when hanging out with them one on one compared to how I was when we previously met in a large group of people (i.e. meeting other freshers at the start of uni this year). To answer the OP directly, there are still lots of other freshers who I've only met in group situations who don't have any idea about this and have already written me off as being shy. I'm slowly trying to work my way through these people (i.e. trying to get into one on one chats when we happen to be sitting together in the pub or wherever), but I don't want to interrupt their conversations with their friends. Needless to say, this group social problem disappears completely once alcohol is thrown into the equation, though I have no plan of becoming dependent on alcohol to socialise thank-you very much.

this applies to me as well - i'm very shy in front of new people, but once i get to known them and stuff, i open up more to them

Exact same thing with me. People think Im shy but I actually cant be bothered to say anything because the conversation is so pointless and boring. Plus I seem to have a very different sense if humour to most. There are very few people who I connect with and to all others I come across very unsociable

In a way, its more to do with the tempo, dynamics and instruments used in the music

and its hard to explain really, i kind of see them in my mind

I can't watch bacteria divide .. physically makes me want to throw up. Not sure how I survived GCSE Science ... (Double Award mind you )

I always have at least 2 books on me (at the momet I have 'Slaughterhouse 5' & 'Persuasion') because I like to read in any spare time that I have.

      I LOVE organising my notes.

And I consider it sacriliege when people scribble things in library books .. :unimpressed:

I'm the same. I find phone conversations so... odd and disjointed. It's too close compared to IMing and Facebook for me to find it comfortable but too distant from real conversations at the same time.
