Went to a playgroup boring same old, I know.

Although I had applied to 3 other places:

Firstly, my hospital. Got a reply about 7 months later saying their places were filled up by now - no duh.
Secondly, a chemist - they didn't reply, so I phoned them and they simply said "NO" and cut off. Nice.
Thirdly, my current place of part-time work, who didn't reply. Although I was told yesterday at work that they took some girls last week.

Oh well, we are encouraged to do it again next year, so may try to get into a hospital.

I went to a primary school earlier this year :P.

It was brilliant, and I got on well with the staff and kids, it's so cool how they actually do stuff when you ask them to, and they think you're sooo old (although I'm 14!). I'm not really interested in a childy/teaching career, as they are a bit of a handful and to be honest I felt like we seemed to be more of a babysitting service rather than actually teaching them half the time. You need the patience of Mother Teresa to do that job.

I know what you mean about people thinking you're older than you are. I had to take a year eleven PE class with only a cover teacher to help me when their teacher was away, and I was so worried because they were a year older than me. It turned out they thought I was at college at the least, and some thought I was even at university! :p:

I went to a primary school - It sucked. I didn't even get to work with the kids. I just tidied, cleaned and did secretarial jobs; though I was meant to be in the Reception class.

I hated every minute of it - the kids were sweet, but the teachers treated us like skivvys.

Well, our organised work experience was in yr 11. if we had no contacts, the school found placements for us based on our interests. I simply put science, not medicine, and got a place at a hospital, in the pathology lab, which was very interesting. They advise us to find other work experiences, but give us no further help like with the yr 11 one. But my Economics teacher has told us about this one with Morgan Stanley in London which I've applied for...whether I get a place is another matter =).

A magazine that specialises in Entertainment and the like in Cardiff, called Buzz.

It was pretty much amazing. The first day I was put downstairs in their office cause there were no free computers upstairs, and was asked to type up some movie previews. Then, for the afternoon, cause I told them I wanted to be a music journalist, they let me do some music reviews for them.
This sort of continued then for the whole week. Arrive in Cardiff by 8, get a coffee and a copy of the Metro, and browse the CD sections of shops; walk to the office and be there by 9. Spend the morning doing general stuff like previews, or phoning up places for 'interviews' (of sorts), running errands, and the like. Then spend the afternoon, after an hour of lunch, finishing off anything I still had on the go, and then rummaging through the music drawer to review new singles and albums (which meant I discovered bands I'd never even heard of).

It was, to be quite honest, perhaps the best experience of my life, in the sense that it made me want to work really hard towards getting into a career in music journalism.
