    But suppose PRC, SK and US learn about NK's weapons plans. They are then forced to start a conventional invasion. And since now US and PRC don't have nuclear weapons, there's not a lot stopping this war once the two sides meet up.

    The US and China would only go to war under this scenario if one side was drastically stronger than the other, in which case the war would finish rather quickly. If they were of equal strength if would go under the same rules as a nuclear war mutually assured destruction. The war would last so long and the devastation would be so vast they would have nothing to possibly gain.
