Do you guy hear yourselves? There isn't anything harmful about this, in fact it would free up a lot of time to do more productive things. Tolerance and an open mind go a long way, Especially in this century where we're shedding a lot of meaningless traditions.

Although, I still believe it's not exactly the thing to show, but the stigma should go away. I mean vile? disgusting? really?
Ikr. There are plenty of vile, disgusting things in the world, like blobfish. Go be disgusted at those.

It's one thing to not be attracted to hairy women (that's absolutely fine, I'm not attracted to hairy women either). But to demonise them and insult them Like they're scum is another.

To me they look revolting almost to the point of being physically nauseating . Same with female bodybuilders but to a lesser extent. I can't help how I feel.

True you cannot help how you feel, but you can stop yourself from insulting them.

Each to their own, do what you want. But I'm going to be really honest here. It's disgusting, it's not attractive, seeing those pictures made me want to puke. I put this in the same category as people who don't cut their nails, smell of BO or have really bad breath etc.
Because we've been socialised to associate hair on women's legs with dirtiness and smells and a lack of hygiene. Congratulations for stating the obvious. Could you now try actually thinking around that socialisation?

Women are free to not shave their legs as far as I'm concerned. Their employers might disagree, though.

Grow out your leg hair all you want, doesn't mean everyone has to find it attractive. Tumblr pls leave.

I have no issue with women refusing to shave their legs. I have an issue with being told I'm wrong because I don't find that attractive. People are perfectly entitled to wear or style themselves how they want, much in the same way that people are entitled to find things attractive or unattractive.

But people do care. The reason it's a political statement is because you have people saying "it's vile" and "it makes me feel sick" to something that naturally grows on women's bodies. Women are made to feel gross and made to feel like they should cover up if they have hair on their bodies which is why you need women saying "I'm doing this and I'm happy about it".
Okay then. I'll grow a monobrow, a very long beard and hair and I'll cease cutting my finger and toenails. I mean, they all grow naturally, so that can't be disgusting can it? And I'll expect the opposite sex to realise this and still find me attractive

I don't think anyone has said that have they? I may be wrong though. But yeah, I admit, I don't find hairy legs on a woman particularly attractive, but I recognise why the women have done it and the point they're trying to make and I agree with that and the fact that women are now expected by society to shave every hair on their body and if they don't, they're automatically ugly and revolting, which is ridiculous really. Someone made the point on another thread that its ingrained in society that a woman must shave every hair on her body to be attractive, but I'm not sure that's the case really, I wouldn't be surprised if this expectation on women is a relatively modern thing, but feel free to correct me on that if anyone has any good evidence that suggests otherwise.

And I'm sure plenty of women who have joined the movement or who don't shave their legs have boyfriends, cause unlike the guys on tsr, many will recognise that there is more to a person than whether they shave their legs or not and it doesn't automatically make them unattractive either.

I've seen posts on the internet (mainly tumblr) that basically imply that you're completely wrong if you don't accept their standards of beauty.
