In secondary school where teachers promised to throw out the disruptive ones but never did, and instead spent the whole lesson stopping and starting because of them. Just kick them out already.

When said teacher is due to hand back out homework:

"Sorry class, I haven't been able to mark your homework for today" (bear in mind he/she had 1/2 weeks)
"Because X class was more important than you"

How was that homophobic? It's an ordinary day to day insult. Let's not go over the top with thus political correctness
Its not an ordinary day to day insult, you are implying that being gay is a negative thing and as such degrading homosexual people and therefore being homophobic. Let's stop now

    "Yes, Daft Question #268?"

    "Do not interrupt!!!"

"You don't go to the bathroom, the bathroom goes to you!"

Just some of the many phrases I heard in school.

One of my Year 3 teachers sometimes was monitoring the playground and she kept saying it to discourage people to go to the bathroom during break. She was a bit weird tbh

No its not degrading to homosexuals. You have to look at the context it's used in. In no way are those insults intended to offend gays.

Freedom of speech applies so long as it does not turn into harassment or degrading treatment of homosexuals.
The way you say it you put negative connotations on it, you imply it is a bad thing, to call something which you perceive as stupid or bad "gay" implies you feel that being homosexual is the same thing, stupid and bad.

Oh yeah freedom of speech, the lamest argument ever, how old are you? haha
