Nice qualifying by Verstappen. Can hopefully score decent points tomorrow.

Yeah he could probably hold Kimi and the likes up for a while

Yes hamilton just proved who the best driver is. Nico tried to get some driver coaching but failed lol.
Rosberg really doesn't help himself with his public image, surely he knew he wouldn't get advice regarding braking lines etc so why ask?

Nicely done by Vettel throughout this qualifying session. Consistently in the right place to get his laps done while Mercedes got hindered by traffic. This will be a true test of Ferrari's race pace, is it quick enough to keep Rosberg behind?

Also, Nico completely out thought by Lewis as they went on to those final runs. Not only letting Lewis in front where he can then back off, but doing so when you know the Ferrari to be quick...

Hamilton did not push nico under the bus during post quali interviews.

I guess he is the bigger man.

I think Hamiltons just happy to be on pole and knows not to make much of what (in the grand scheme of things) is a rather small issue.

I'm hoping as Ferrari had apparantly better tyre wear on Friday if we could actually see a bit of a race for the win tomorrow

Bbc coverage begins at 7, surely the race can't be starting then too?

No, the race starts at 8AM with coverage from 7AM. If the clocks wern't going forward tonight it would be the race at 7AM and coverage from 6AM. Which is what I said in my post?

Hamilton will be leading by four seconds from Rosberg, and cruising to an easy victory.

As the Mercedes cars prepare to pass Alonso under blue flags for the fourth time, the McLaren's steering will jam on full lock and the car will spin towards a puddle. Fernando simultaneously suffers from a mild stroke, an epileptic fit and an apocalyptic tantrum with Ron Dennis. As he hits the puddle, the ERS will malfunction, causing a spectacular lightning storm down the pit straight as the leaders accelerate from the hairpin.

Hamilton crosses the line just ahead of Rosberg, looks around to celebrate and realise that he is no longer in Sepang. It is the year 2000, and he has just beaten his teammate in Formula A.

The pair will now have to work together to get back to the future, before Sebastian Vettel can claim a 5th world title...
Today's warm up on car number 14...

Put your clock forward tonight before you go to bed, on the new time the race will be starting at 8am so set your alarm according for how much (or how little) of the pre race coverage you wish to see, that's what I'll be doing anyway!

Cheers.

For ages f1.com had a countdown on the page, with the race start time and local time shown. Now it's gone, when did this idea of simple convenience become obsolete?

Highly unlikely. But he'll definitely beat Rosberg again. I hope Ferrari make another decent jump in performance going into Europe and make it interesting at the front
