    WELL DONE
Is it possible for me to an A* in biology if my ISA is an A ?
Definitely! You will need to get above 90% UMS in exams. Was it a high or a low A?

Hi I'm doing GCSE's this year and I was just wondering how you manage to fit it all in? Do you have time to relax, see friends and family, do exercise? These things are just as important as getting good grades and will be better for you in the long run.

Yeah I always have time left to do what I want because I manage my time effectively so I get things done when I can. In fact I have plenty of time to go out and do things I enjoy. But now it's close to exams, I have less time to do that

Now I know I haven't posted in a while on this thread. This is because I was very busy for the the last few weeks or so due to revision that I didn't have as much time as I expected to post on this thread. Also talking about everything I did for the last 3 weeks would be a bit of a hassle since I've done lots of work so here is a summary. I am splitting what I have done into subject sections to show you all of my work.
    Biology
    • Revisited B1 B2 B3 and completely reviewed it
    • Completed past papers on B1 B2 B3- A* achieved.
    • Revsited B4 B5 B6 units. Completely reviewed.
    • Completed past papers for these modules and also achieved an A*
    • B7 review completed fully.
    • Past Papers done- Achieved A*s- by 5 marks but that was my first ever attempt at one since we just got it taught.
    Chemistry
    • Revisited C4 C5 C6 and completed reviewed
    • Completed past papers for these topics- A* on them
    • C7 Review completed fully- A* achieved in a paper.
    • C1 review started
    Physics
    • P4 P5 P6 Review done
    • Practise paper done on these modules- achieved an A*.
    • P1 P2 P3 Revisited
    • Practise questions done.
    RE
    • Unit 3 review completed
    • Past papers done and being given into teachers
    • Unit 8 Section 3 + 4 done.
    • Revisited unit 8, onto section 3.
    • Completing past papers here too.
    History
    • History paper 1 review completed
    • Past papers done on paper 1, handed in.
    • History Paper 2 USA + Germany done.
    • Past papers done, handed in to be marked.
Will be doing Vietnam and USA more soon.

    French
    • French vocabulary work on Memrise done on 4 different sections of the AQA syllabus.
    • French past papers done progressively. Achieving A's and A*'s.
    • Doing workbook questions from Pearson too.
    PE
    • PE theory revision completed
    • PE theory Cardio Vascular, Respiratory System and Muscular System revisited.
    • Past papers attempted and doing well
    English Language
    • Revised reading paper exam techniques and writing practise
    • Vocabulary learnt too.
    • Doing past papers to be handed in. Awaiting mock results of reading.
    • Reviewed writing reports + leaflets
    Maths
    • Working on topics which I am struggling on.
    • Past papers done on these topics. More coming from school too
    • Looking at direct proportion + circle theorem proof
    Computing
    • Full review of computing done. Revisiting topics later.
    • Working on past papers to optimise and refine grades.
    • In class review in progress.
That is it for the big review of the last few weeks. From now on, I will be posting perhaps every 2 or 3 days due to exam work and coursework stuff too. I hope this has made up for the several weeks of not posting at all and hope to post more often from this day. Tomorrow , school starts again, will be getting back into the swing of things!

In the weekends, I do revise a lot and go over things and I have time to do what I like since I tackle the revision in blocks. On weekdays, like you, I am in school till 4-4:30. So when I get home, I do general revision and look over old topics e.t.c.

Quite a productive day considering the fact I came home at half five due to revision sessions.

Also, I have received my results from my French writing exam. I've achieved 29/30 which is an A*. So my French coursework is fully over. I've achieved an A in writing one, an A* in my writing two. I got an A in speaking 1 and an A* in speaking two. This means with good practice in listening and reading, I have a good shot of achieving A* overall.
    • Chemistry C1 Unit fully revisited
    • C1 past paper unit test review done. A* achieved.
    • French Vocabulary review in progress- common time markers opinions and phrases review.
    • Completed past paper questions on reading. So far at 14/17.
    • Maths past papers in progress. Completing a 2014 June one.
    • Completing a prediction paper for maths too.
So a decently productive day and hope to get the same amount, or more, of work done tomorrow.

Well done, with Maths did you do papers and look at mark schemes or did you just do papers and then go through topics you didn't understand?
    Hello everyone!
So this year, I am very motivated to get those awesome grades at GCSE by trying my hardest in all the subjects I will sit exams in.

I did English Literature (WJEC) last year and got an A*!

Here are what I expect to get!

    Biology (OCR 21st Century) - A*
    Chemistry (OCR 21st Century) - A*
    Physics (OCR 21st Century) - A*
    Maths( Edexcel A) - A*
    English Language ( WJEC)- A*
RE (Edexcel Unit 3 and Unit 8)- A*
    History (AQA B)- A*
    PE (Edexcel )- A*
French (AQA) - A ( Still will try my best to get A*)
    Computing(OCR) - A

    Total: 9A*s 2A's

So my update schedule for this thread will be once a day where I update where I am at with everything. So far things are looking good revision wise, just need to speed up with a few and then I am ready!

    Thanks for reading!

    General tips:

    1/ Make revision notes

    2/ Summarise notes

3/ Flashcards work well for fast paced revision

4/ Take breaks i.e 45 mins work 10 minutes. Not 10 minutes work and 45 minutes breaks!

    5/ Practise techniques in questions.

6/ Use the computer for additional resources.[/QUOTE]

*Review of 11/05/16 and other days*
So I came home at half 7 and had a productive day
    • PE theory review and practise questions on health and components of fitness and almost finished the course again
    • RE revisit of Unit 3.1 + 3.2 + 8.2 + 8.1. Total 19 sets of questions done. Marked up to A*.
    • Mathematics review of transformations and loci
    • B1 + B2 review done.
    • C2 + C1 review done.
    • French Vocab drills and exam questions
I cannot put everything I've done in the last few days because I don't remember it all but it was just preparation for May exams.

    Other info
Got back coursework marks for computing and scored A*'s on both of them giving me A* overall in 60% of my grade. I thought the CA would have dragged me back. However, it went much better than I had expected. My theory knowledge is on point so I'm now expecting an A* overall in computing. I am very happy with this result as this is by far my hardest GCSE!
