This was so much more interesting than all the other current EU threads on TSR
(>﹏<)
I didn't really sleep and ended up reading this from 3am to 6am; the information you have collated can be sold and made into a documentary (I'd deffo watch it) or used to produce an EPQ! This was so cool, cheers for sharing it!
Btw, Lions all the wayy!

By the way,Bengal tiger >Asiatic lion.
Since afterall, Clyde beatty did prove that the african lion >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> bengal tiger:
http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=4171069
You can either:
1.) Show more cases a tiger has killed a lion than beatty did.
or
2.) Live in denial

Feline Behaviour and Welfare
But this match is about the bengal and asiatic lion, there isnt any records of tigers killing them in the wild, so the asiatic lion is winning in the score card of victorys via surat and ganges yamuna, and even bangalore if you count its substance. Even in captive accounts lions have killed more tigers than vice versa via nagpur, argatala, bubaneswar, and jamnagar.Last edited by Sword of Justice; 28-06-2016 at 01:00. -

However, for su´nní (21) there is clear evidence in the ryă 爾雅 andthe Mù Ti´nzĭ zhuàn 穆天子傳 (two texts dating — at least in parts —from around the third century B.C.55), that the expression was used to designate the lion several centuries before the first attestation of shīzĭ. InOld Chinese texts, the term is basically a hapax compound, and only rarely reoccurs in pretentiously archaizing literature during the Middle Chinese and Modern periods. Cf. the following pre-Middle Chinese
