    Just finished mine, fairly happy with it. Just wondering whether to send it off as soon as my Access course starts or give it a month so my reference has more value.

    Done my first draft, gonna be doing another few this week and get it to perfection. As soon as im in school im going to my head of 6th form and a few teachers so they can look over it. Im going for economics and most likely applying to;
    Aston
    Essex
    Keele
    Uni of london
    Not sure about insurance choice just yet im most likely going to opt for a uni with lower entry requirements but if i dont get the grades for the top 4 I'll have resit.
    Best of luck to all with your personal statements hope its going well

    I think the thing about that (that admittedly, even I do not understand) that confuses things how/why people can get offers before the deadline.
    Yes true, but they are quite good at judging how many offers they can give during the cycle. I imagine they have a pile of "probables" and "possibles" and can issue the "probables" pretty much as they come in.

    Hey guys, I was just curious how much everyone has done for their personal statement.

    I don't want to be the only one behind, I have only done like 2500 characters lol
    I started mine the week before I submitted it, finished it the day after

    Actually finished mine. Having said that I'm an early applicant so I kind of needed to get it done early 😊

    I did a first draft and now I'm just going to have it checked at school and then keep improving it

    It's not very good though, it's more like I know why I'm interested in the course etc but I don't know how to word things

    You shouldn't even be thinking about it right now unless you're doing medicine or dentistry. I wrote mine in about 2 weeks. Sent it in December and still got 5 offers from 5 top unis with my first offer being in 3 days. But your school will act like it's the end of life a we know it if you haven't sent yours by November. It's really not a big deal.

    To be honest I don't know exactly what I'm applying to yet, I'm not sure whether I should apply to combined courses in politics and business or just politics or just business? Because I'm applying to Edinburgh which only offers one or the other along with applying to 4 courses that offer both and I'm not sure if it'll weaken my chances of getting into there if I write about both courses in my personal statement. Any help would be appreciated!
