My triplet sister has 278/300 Biol...lost all those marks in coursework cos her school NEVER gives full marks, 300/300 Chem, 300/300 Physics [1st GCSE CCEA physics 2006], 296/300 maths.
Some standard.

I know someone reading Med at St. Catz in Cambridge, who is one of only 65 people in the world to get full marks in his IB. He's insane.

If recall correctly, there's a medic at Imperial who's a member here that also got 45/45 in his IB. I didn't realise that getting full marks in the IB was that rare, wow!

I would rather live in a country where todays A-levels are as hard as they were when they started out
ok this is a bit old, but i just have to comment.

why would it make any sense to model a national examinations system intended to be taken by a significant proportion of 17-18 year olds on exams that were only sat by something like the top 5% of students?
now to do an old A-Level maths you have to do Maths AND Further Maths and even a bit more on top
um no

I remember a girl in several of my classes receiving her Jan exam results and pretty much got all U's. It was a big shock because she was extremely intelligent, but people just assumed she wasn't good at exams.

She re-sat the exams in July (along with the July) exams, and somehow she found out the Jan results were incorrect and she got straight A's.

LMAO.

^^Gosh, well I always do appallingly in mocks... at the beginning of the year I'm predicted straight As then I get Cs and Ds and a gorgeous U in Chemistry mock last year so my prediction goes down but in the summer I usually get high As (including in chemistry :p: ). TBH, I get much more nervous for mocks than the real exams, cos it's a stranger judging you, not your teachers who've known you for years.

300/300 in history, and possibly 300/300 in RE this year (doing it as an extra AS and got 100/100 in January). I do not think i got 600/600 in A2 history as one paper was bloody hard, however i should get 100% in the other two, so hopefully 580+.

Heh I got 598 in Dual Award Science... but that was even more of a doddle :p: haha.

Sadly, though, A levels aren't quite as easy! Got 100 in some modules, but I'll be happy with anything above an A in my A2s!!
