My wikkid ting directions (from Mile End tube to the pitches at Mile End Park Leisure Centre), if anyone feels they need them. They helped out the odd latecomer at Meet 3.

Not going to be able to make this one either ffs

Hopefully be one more before the summer is over.

Also, i hate astro turf. I missed the last meet because my knee had lost about an inch from a graze (was more like 4 on top of eachother, because i am so determined -_-).

Some people are thinking it's the hard astro ground which people play Hockey on.

Ok, let me just make this clear to everyone - since there's going to be loads of people who have preferences in terms of football pitch surfaces, we came up with a general consensus that we'll be rotating everytime we have a footie meet just so we can keep people happy.

Footie Meet 1 - Real Grass
Footie Meet 2 - AstroTurf
Footie Meet 3 - Real Grass
Footie Meet 4 (current) - AstroTurf

Is there going to be any possibility of having one up north later in the summer? Say mid-August?

Next footie meet after this will be the on any day on the 3rd week of August - and the idea was for it to be in London, Regent's Park, footie and a BBQ. Hopefully we'll have a Northern Footie Meet in Xmas if izaldo can sort it out for us...

IIRC when we played last time, the artificial grass is really light/non existent on sand (unlike my old school astro where you could kick sand at people :/ ) meaning it wasn't as aggressive as I expected.

So it's only if you go sliding in when you'll feel anything... yet I did and was alright. I can only remember Jangra's knees having been quite grazed and cut, but if you don't want to cut them up just be careful and don't go to ground so often :yy:

The latter, and they're only slightly annoying.
