hi guys, i've found this topic searching info about IB on google. i write to ask you if you think that the location of the application compared with the country where you live can influence the final decision of the examiners. what i mean is: if i apply for a position in singapore, but i m from italy, do i have for this asian application the same chances of a position in europe?

For MS? I did a numerical and haven't yet heard a response. I don't think they have logical.

Did you get an email saying 'application received' after you did the CS verbal and numerical test?

so if they tell you to fill out the 3 questions and ask for your grades?. Also after this point do they take the maths test score into account then, I am asking this because my GCSE grades are pretty weak.

Aslong as you have sufficient grades you'll be alright

    A*s / As / Bs for GCSE. Then 320-340 UCAS + for A level so AAB+ generally.

Umm thing is I meet those requirements except that I have a C in GCSE English language, so I don't know how much of a negative impact does that have on my application. Will this C significantly reduce my chances ?

Unless they ask for it specifically I doubt it. As long as you go to a scent uni, have a good overall profile, I reckon you'll be fine. I have a c in geography and got AC invite and I've interned at one. My GCSEs are fairly mediocore so I reckon a levels are prioritised much more. Albeit English is generally regarded as important in terms of gcse so I honestly couldn't tell you. All the best.

Few questions if you don't mind?

Earlier someone mentioned if you're at a 'target'. Is this a target Uni? If so, what are the target Unis? I'm at LSE - first year - is that a target?

Do people apply for spring week in the hope of getting a summer internship?

Does everyone apply in their first year?

LSE is a target. Target: Oxbridge, LSE, Imperial, Warwick, UCL.

Yes people apply for a smoother entry into a summer internship, most of the time.

Spring Weeks is designed for students in their first year on a 3 year course or 2nd year of a 4 year course.
