But that's not the force of the Brick on the Pan.... that's the Resultant Force. The Pan on the Brick is 15.45 and the Brick on the Pan is 14.7. So surely the answer is 14.7. Am I missing something?

Posted from TSR Mobile
The answer is not 14.7 because the brick is accelerating, so the force is 15.45N
2. Grade boundaries prediction. Im expecting around 64 since everyone found it easy
3. Someone tell me what M and d were in the moments question. Thanks
4. For the last part, i just read magnitude on pulley and solved it. Then, after test, my friend sais it said direction too :P, so will probably get 73/75 (or 74). Overall done nice, should have read the whole question :P, could have got 75.
5. I'd say bar question 3 and 7, it seemed fairly standard. Though the order of the paper was strange, vector problem like that as number 1?

So I should think similar to 2015 grade boundaries?
6. I got d=1.2m and M=42kg
7. Can someone show me the steps of #8 please, thanks!

d=6/5 and M=42
9. (Original post by Formless)
Mate he got banned from doing it (
Oh what a shame Didn't know about that, thanks !

How is the Impulse Q 3Ns??

Same here.

How did people get 3Ns for the Impulse??

I = mv - mu

I = (0.4)(4)-(0.4)(-4) = 3.2Ns

Idk
You have assumed that the particle's speed remains constant after rebounding from the wall. In reality it's speed fell on impact, so the Impulse was not quite as powerful as you calculated.

d=6/5 and M=42
I agree

How is the Impulse Q 3Ns??

Yh, i got 3 NS
15. Anyone got full worked solutions for question 2?
16. good paper, question 3 was different although doable.

anyone know where/when we can get an unofficial mark scheme?
17. Begging for someone to do some worked solutions with rough qs like there was for C2!!
18. For impulse, you had to use F= uR and F=ma to work out acceleration, then work out speed using that. (The speed after collision)

I = mv - mu

I = (0.4)(4)-(0.4)(-4) = 3.2Ns

Idk
speed coming back out for 3.5
