He was punched but collapsed afterward and his condition is serious.

    Stress related heart attack?
Hope he makes a full recovery. He is only 49 years old.

Increased intercranial pressure tends to be, needless to say, at least one MEP is losing their job two years early

Alas, it seems the worst of the statements were false anyway

Glad to see Woolfe is making a recovery.

Putting today aside I find his recent actions very strange. The other day he told us how he was recently very, very close to joining the tories and how he was very impressed with Theresa May. He then said after seeing the tory conference he decided he needed to stay in UKIP. What did he possibly see in conference that has made him change his mind?

Could you imagine a Tory MP saying 'three days ago I was very, very close to joining UKIP, now i'm going to run for Conservative leadership'.

Woolfe sounds like he'd be far more suited to the backbenches of the tory party, rather than leading an opposition one who are starting to make Labour look united.

It was interesting in the DT that the main comments piece was fiercely attacking May,the tertiary piece was defending (and the second was Nigel talking about UKIP). Interestingly there wasn't really anything published on the matter in the letters

I had been rather impressed this last week with the Daily Telegraph and the number of articles criticising May for moving away from liberal conservatism. However today they seem to have become Conservative cheerleaders once more.

Category 4 into central Florida (sustained winds 135-155mph).

Of course things may change i should add.
Matthew's been upgraded to a Cat 4 hurricane again. 140mph observed winds already.

Aye. I've been following it in real time on a different forum. Still strengthening and should make closest approach around 9am our time. Still strengthening.

Safe to say that we're looking at a worst-case scenario in terms of it's likely path?

My friend went to a gig today so I decided to wander around the library as I still don't know know where anything is, ended up finding all the books about and by Tony Benn, of which I ended up borrowing a couple which I don't own to read.

I have a few friends living in it's possible path, some businesses are apparently going to close early so workers can get home just in case

No idea where your friends are but that's probably the least they should be doing, when to quote the Weather Channel, "The eyewall may deliver the strongest, most destructive winds anyone in parts of the northeast and east-central Florida coast has seen in their lifetime. The last, and only, Category 4 hurricane to make landfall anywhere in northeast Florida or the Georgia coast was an 1898 hurricane south of St. Simons Island, Georgia".

Pretty much. The 50 miles to the east coast is probably going to get the brunt of the eyewall with the strongest winds while a large swathe of the coast is going to get a massive storm surge come high tide.

Been a lot of outrage on twitter to Disney and Orlando I think it is as both said they would remain open, although Disney is apparently going to close early. I think my friends are towards the edge of where it could hit but I'm not sure, just hoping they are everyone else will be okay.

You know my views on Corbyn but basically what you said, although as I said to my local youth branch at least it makes the great officers gender balanced and not all white (if all London MPs; Hayes and Harlington, Islington North, Islington South and Hackney)

Diane Abbott - Shadow Home Secretary

The five words which form the final nail in the coffin that is Labour's chances of getting back into Government.

Mind you, it'll be interesting seeing Abbott challenging Amber Rudd's so called racist policies of detailing the nationalities of their workers when Abbott's pretty much a racist herself.

Poor taste to show a picture of him on ITV News lying prone on the floor when he collapsed.

I think Abbott is a colossal ****-up, but 90% of the electorate couldn't tell you who either Amber Rudd or Diane Abbott was, so I think it's a bit far to say that she's the last nail.

It's beyond belief that she's going to get away with this without any serious opposition. Out of 232 Labour MPs, we select the ONE, literally the only one widely regarded as a racist bigot herself. Un-bloody-believeable.
