    Thank you. You're amazing.

I'd like to stay but it might be awkward now... anyway, thank you so much for the support.
You're not so bad yourself, I suppose

I can understand your reasoning, and I can't put myself into your shoes. You are always welcome though, no matter what some may think

I did! You offer much better rates than Birch did! I may have to order some more!

I was wondering why Birch sped off in a yacht when he left me the Speaker's robe. :holmes:

Basically any conversation involving small talk or without a specific purpose, so I'd be fine asking someone to, say, borrow a pair of scissors but if they then made a joke about my reasons for needing scissors, I'd just be lost. Also, any situation involving a crowd of people risks provoking a panic attack if I'm not on beta blockers.
Right I see, do you find any medication that helps with social interaction like that?

He can probably afford it, the money he was getting off Labour and the Tories

Beta blockers such as propranolol can help to an extent, there is other stuff but the side effects are too bad to warrant taking it. Normally I just deal with it tbh, it's not nice but you learn to avoid social situations when you have Asperger's.

Ah fair enough, hopefully you'll find something without side effects that works for you

I had to take propranolol for my shaky hands but it did naff all unfortunately

Despite the fact you don't know me that well, your reaction has been much, much better than some of my friends', so I'm not lying when I say it means a lot.

Members, I'll most likely leave the House following this announcement...

My marriage has ended for several reasons: my husband is actually gay, and was hiding things from me; and I was hiding things from me.

He decided to leave me for his current lover after revealing to him that I was born male.

    Yes, I'm trans.

I'm aware that I'll now be treated differently, but hey-ho. The Conservatives and UKIP will beg me not to endorse them, and people will ignore me.

It's been nice knowing you all.
I honestly don't think any differently of you - you're still a lovely person who's been through a tough time and whom we're all for if you ever want to talk. It takes a lot of courage to tell complete strangers on the internet, but it shows that you feel comfortable in your own skin and who you are. If you ever need to talk, just PM me or quote me here, but honestly I don't think people will treat you differently and if they do, stuff 'em!

He knows how to drive a hard bargain

I'd offer cranbrook_aspie my Aloe Vera but he's probably already stolen it alongside my party's policies

I hope atleast some of your friends are being supportive. I don't see it as anything special, it just shocks me that people can't help out eachother in their times of need.

Really? I have shaky hands too (dyspraxia) and I found it actually made that worse:lol:

Well, we may be socialists but we weren't going to give you the comfy chair, the posh car and the lifetime supply of luxury biscuits for nothing, you know

I'm actually surprised at the reactions I've had from MHoCers so far - they've been really good! I'm aware that a few will dislike me, but that's life and at least there are people here who do support me.

    Thank you so much!

I wasn't stealing it, I was, er, checking that it was genuine out of comradely concern. Yep, that's totally what I was doing
