Thanks aiman!
Alfie, are you ever going to learn to stop slapping girls?
aiman has a harder slap than you have so I wouldn't carry on if I were you.

You should have grown up enough to know that that's not how we treat girls.

There is a free "Civilization"-like game called freeciv that is downloadable. I wonder...

Can we rescue the Taiwan scenario or has it just come to a rediculous conclusion?

The trouble with the Taiwan scenario is it tries to escalate into a global event but it really isn't. The only way it would work is in a cold war type situation where it could be the trigger cause to a world wide issue. If this was the case Taiwan would not be the only problem but other tensions would lead to other disputes. In this situation there is no global conflict and indeed when conflict has occurred outside Taiwan as a result it has been dismissed as off topic.

I have a suggestion if such a hypothetical situation is to occur again: It does not happen in the present but rather during the cold war or the time of the League of nations or some other period of global turmoil, as such different rules would apply which would probably make things workable. It might be necessary for a new forum for this.

MLoN anyone :p:

Don't give up all hope. We do have a draft treaty on the table.

It did stall abit after the revelation that Taiwan "forgot" it declared independence, but I like this treaty and it should be interesting to see the treaty that someones tabled be negotiated.

Heh yeah, like Nefarious said, such hypothetical scenarios are completely open to interpretation and for members to dictate how events should proceed, no matter how ridiculous the development may be. What's stopping Venezuela from saying "We found USD$10bn in our reserves and have bought 50 nuclear bombs", after which other countries will respond with alarm demanding proof... and before you know it, we've moved off in a tangent. :p:

Anyway, I'm not responding to the roll call for kicks.
