Seriously though, last questions weren't too bad tbh. Did anybody get something x 10^30 for the mass of the planet with that graph question? What reasons did you guys put down for 1a)? I said that g isn't 9.81 or something and that the gravitational attraction towards the Earth causes a third force to come into play.

Why are OCR making the papers so difficult this year? Couldn't even do questions 1 and 2 because of vague diagrams. I didn't even think that the mass of xenon would decrease because of exam pressure

I wrote that the laser is only aimed at a small part of the volume so the metal isn't being heated evenly, not sure whether thatll get the mark or not

I didn't think mass would decrease because it was solar powered, so thought energy from sun converted into mass equivalent.

I've dropped 10 without even counting the mistakes

Exactly what I got for all of them. However, for some, like the star mass I round to give 2.0x10^30. Is that acceptable or will I loose marks?

I got all of these except the last one? I added the volumes and uses the previous pressure and volume of the He cylinder and did P1V1=P2V2. Is that method correct?
