Hello. I haven't done maths all summer. When should I begin?
Right....... about......... ............. ................. now.

I'm gonna go through the Warwick booklet, look at some of the FP stuff, and *maybe* briefly look at some of the texts they recommended.

Thank you for your advice. I choose respectfully to ignore it. I may pick up mathematics some time in December 2012.

We are now venturing deep into Dali territory.

Or possibly Frankie Goes To Hollywood. It's hard to tell the difference sometimes.

"Andrew Hodges (born in London, 1949) is a mathematician, an author and a pioneer of the gay liberation movement of the 1970s."

So... did you feel "liberated" afterwards?

Do you guys have your timetables yet? What are they like? Mine's ok so far (except we have lectures for the same module twice on the same day, separated by 5 hours for some reason rather than just a 2 hour lecture), but I only know about lectures so far.

Yes. Pretty fair. Lectures 6 days a week, 2 hours in the morning. 'Pure' MWF, 'Applied' TTS

Ouch! Ours got cramped into 4 days - 3 hours on 3 days and 1 hour on Friday (and 2 of those hours are optional). I think LSE has less teaching than any other university I know.

If you're feeling left out, you can do my example sheets for me.
