Well, I think you do make a good point on expectation. It is true that child receive higher expectation will do better.
But what I try to say is that even higher IQ children get better exposure to education. But it does not mean that they must be more success. There are other factors which can affect the change of success of a person. For example, the personality.
What is more important is multiple intelligence. Although I don't actually take an IQ test. But, the common perception of IQ somehow seems link to science and maths only. But someone score 100 in IQ test may have special talent or art or design for example. They can be success too if they are being put in the right position.
It is no doubt that high IQ child or gifted student do receive more change for education. But I think it is not valid to generalize IQ to be a predictor of success. Nowadays, there are also many "Q" in the society too, EQ, AQ, etc.

by the way, are you studying education related subject ? It seems that you are pretty familiar with education theory. I also did education in my home country too =D

the modern Iq test does acknowledge different types of intelligence.
i think it's safe to say that even though it does not automatically lead to success, as you've pointed out, it is a better predictor than "personality".

yeah sociology does cover a lot of topics related to education

    an interesting study: (see above)

IQ is mostly inherited so it's highly unlikely

i dont want children in any case.

try it, tell me wat you guys get, you scores might drop maybe by 27 iq points like mine did, yet another reason as to why IQ tests online are rubbish,
