Kill them. After all they can't pass on my genes so what's the point in their existence? Waste of my resources as far as I'm concerned.
They're gay, not infertile. But good attitude towards infertile people.

Burn them until the evil leaves, or they die in the process

    I guess it's lucky I didn't say that then.
You said you'd be worried you wouldn't bond as well, because of their orientation. What else am I supposed to infer? Being gay doesn't automatically, make you a butch girl or feminine guy. They could still share interests and be a likeable person, which tends to help people bond more than sexual orientation.

    "Oh, okay."

I'd be more worried about the reaction of their peers, to be honest.

How odd. I'd have thought you'd find that you Don't Feel Like Dancin'...

    Spoiler:
    Show

    :mmm:

Sheldor's absolutely right though - sexuality shouldn't have a strong impact on how you relate to your child.

Having a gay daughter I could handle, but a gay son no!!!!!! That hole is meant as an exit not an entrance!!!!!!! At least my daughter's frolics would only involve a rubber toy or two. Yuk at the thought of a hairy butt crack being a place of euphoria. I'm gonna be sick!!!!!!!!

It wouldn't bother me if my children are gay. I would be worried that they would get bullied but I would support them and let them know there is nothing wrong with being homosexual.

Not really, my kids won't be in the kind of environment that tends to play a huge part in determining this unusual orientation.
What kind of environment might that be?

well, at least if my daughter was a lesbian, I wouldn't have to worry about the billions of penises that could impregnate her...
I never thought about it like this before, but it's actually a good point lol.

anyway yeah I'd just be happy for them. As long as they're healthy & happy.

The problem is, no 'gay' child is ever born. No-one is born gay. It would be based on nurture. Your child would be biologically designed for the opposite gender and sex, but has acquired the tendency to go for the same sex. Why do parents try to find cures when a child loses a leg or arm, but the very reason we humans adapted, the very reasons we have arms legs and organs are to mate with the opposite gender, procreate, and further ensure the survival of our genes, and a condition which makes that impossible is seen as 'positive'.
I was born gay and man body is adapted adapted to having sex with men.

i wouldn't love them any less, but if I had the choice, I would pick straight children because well, grandchildren might be nice in the future.

I have a feeling this guy has watched a whole lot of lesbian porn, thus making that more okay compared to male homosexual intercourse.

    Stupid thing to say.

I hope they ignore both your belief that it's sinful and that you would want them to suppress it.

Just change your beliefs, because you can't pray it away.
This is a stupid thread. I post stupid **** in stupid threads, and sensible stuff in sensible threads.

I never mentioned sex or 'sexual mechanics', only relationships. Regardless, I guess I'm hoping for a 'traditional' family and the normal social and personal experiences that entails.
a very narrow minded view of what happiness entails perhaps.....how would a "traditional" family experience differ?

What gave you the impression I expect a 'carbon copy? I think people need to try reading what I wrote, not reading what they want to see in order to make an irrelevant argument.

To humour you - I expect most children will have somewhat similar interests to their parents, partly because of genes, e.g. sporting ability, musical talent, etc.
I was obviously referring to post #28 where you stated: "I like the idea of parenting a child that I know I can fully relate to and that we'd have very similar interests."

Your chances of having a child to whom you can fully relate and with whom you share very (note- 'very' is not synonymous with 'somewhat') similar interests are slim.

Exactly, it's been mentioned countless times in this thead but people like to ignore what they don't want to read
