to be fair if you don't find noel fielding with all his whittiness and his "manly" charms at least a little attractive there's something wrong with you no matter what gender/sexuality you are but that may be because if you're not looking hard enough it might be hard ascertaining his gender

I too thought that only Anthony Hopkins could be the "real" Hannibal Lecter but Mads exceeded my expectations. I don't really even think of them as the same character since there is a lot of differences and it's good since it prevents me from comparing them all the time. I don't even feel the need to compare them actually since Mads is doing such a good job

I feel he's got a bit of a "russell brand" thing about him except he's not as..."loud and obnoxious" as him if russell brand didn't act like a bit of an oaf and instead kept it a little more relaxed he'd be pretty "attractive for a man" because I can understand why he'd be considered attractive when he's not acting "crazily"

Oh definitely! It helps that Mads' version is set before Hopkins version of Hannibal, but as you said the characters feel different so naturally there isn't room for comparison. Plus I like how much more refined Mads' version is, like the brutality and madness shines through but he hasn't, in my opinion, fully descended into insanity yet. He still has the facade, so I can't wait for it to slip and for Mads to portray the madness underneath.
