And how is showing your skin being immodest? If it's a hot day, why would it deemed to be immodest and wrong for a woman to wear shorts? You clearly do not understand the philosophy from which I'm coming from.
    Modesty is defined differently.

That is your "western" view of modesty. Modesty is not defined y individuals is it. Islam defines modesty differently from you, does that make it immoral???.

Muslim men can still marry women from Abrahim religions (jews, christians)

    Circumcising isn't cumpolsory

There is a good reason behind why Islam forbids certain food. Here is a link which explains for you as i'm on my phone and unable to type it all for you ( look at the best answer)
    https://uk.answers.yahoo.com/questio...3001714AAFRMYD

Its as if you're implying praying and fasting are bad. Scientists have proven seeral times fasting has many health benefits. Praying is only burdensome for lazy people. The spiritual effects of praying is something many muslims wouldn't exchange for the whole world and what's in it.

Lol atheists love to argue they're the only rational ones. No surprises there. I'm not even going to go into detail on this one because its a very complex issue and its almost 3am and i'm tired.
yeah i think you need sleep since you're talking out your arse

circumcision is deeply entrenched within islam whether culturally or religiously, it is seen as sunnah and muslims are expected to follow that.

there may be good reasons against such foods but evidently they're not life changing since the rest of the world can eat and still live fine

praying and fasting may be good, and i agree, but so is yoga or some other spiritual exercise. spirituality is not strictly akin solely to religion, and never has been. you don't have to be hindu to appreciate the Upanishads or the Gita, arguably the greatest ever works of literature on the topic of spirituality.

Lol atheists love to argue they're the only rational ones.
yeah, go to sleep, since you clearly can't read now.

Modesty itself is an abstract concept. Sure I suppose it isn't immoral to be modest but it's harmful when your take on modesty becomes oppressive. Even if there are women who do purposely dress in a provocative manner solely to attract men, is there something wrong with that? It's natural.

Lemme guess, South Asia is a huge area with alot of Muslims? It's like me asking why a load of ex Christians/Catholics are American or British.

Unless of course, you originally intended to make a derogatory mark against South Asians in general. In which case, go right ahead with your racism.

    'Who made us so perfect?'
We're one of the most flawed species on earth. For example:
    The frail knees and spine
Births complicated (before C - sections)
Ejaculation and urination originating from the same organ, can cause UTIs.
What the **** is the appendix for lol, does nothing and can kill
One of few animals that can't make own vitamin C
    Wisdom teeth

    I could go on but...

'There isn't a camera on this earth that can come close to the human eye'
Human eyes are inefficient, one of many arguments against creationism. We have a blind spot and too many muscles in the eye.
The light to rod/cone cell is inefficient

'Where did all this come from'
Evidence does point to simple life originating from an asteroid or collision and thus evolution over millions of years. No one knows for sure but God certainly isn't the answer. The Quran doesn't even mention dinosaurs or neanderthals (or any other species of human like homo erectus)

The best thing about not being a Muslim is that my thoughts and cognitions are not bounded. I am free to think and question the world around me without the fear of hell or such things holding my thoughts back.
Somebody somewhere was teaching you wrong, if you thought you can't ask questions and think in the faith. Nothing holds your thoughts back
The more I question the more I think of this world the more my faith increases.:rolleyes:

    It's pretty wrong.

Firstly - that chronological order they say is correct? Completely wrong.

"Blood clot " - no, a blood clot is a clump of blood, whereas the embryo is far more complex than that.
"Suspended" - in all honesty, it's not suspended. Connecting stalk's function isn't to hold the baby in mid air, its just the name given to the part of the placenta which becomes the umbilical cord. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connecting_stalk. It's function to become the umbilical cord.
"Leech" - I don't see the resemblance LOL. Internal structure of a leech looks nothing like the neural tube of an embryo... at 22 days as well, it changes really quickly after that!

Basically, I feel really sad when I see videos like this. It would be better to accept that the lack of technology back in those days meant that there was less scientific knowledge known, rather than try to misconstrue vague phrases said in the Quran to what we know now.

yeah since your super debating skills aren't working any more.

although in your defense i shouldve added that its a cultural expectation too which also can easily be a boundary for a muslim, if sunnah isn't enough for you. but a "nerd" wouldve worked that out by themselves unless they're so eager to leave an argument they cant win.

    just go to sleep now.

Don't tell me what to do.

The fact stands that you don't even know the difference between sunnah and fardh yet you still insist on talking about it.

    dont get emosh

i know full well the difference between sunnah and fardh, i was a devout muslim at one point.

it's a fact, people are expected to follow the prophets ways (sunnah), but not strictly obligated. still stands by my argument.

please don't try deter yourself from the rest of my previous post, unless you're too intent to not embarrass yourself by running out a debate you so eagerly wanted. it's pathetic.

seriously i really think you need to sleep unless you really are this intellectually dishonest/stupid.

believing youtube videos that appear to look clever and factual is the greatest shortcoming of many "intellectual" muslims today. please try to argue yourself instead of being lazy and letting a video do it for you.

Are you seriously trying to tell me you were once a devout muslim? Being a devout muslim entails one to believe in the shahadah 100%. How can you go from believing in Allah swt , praying and doing all the things a supposed 'devout' muslim would do to suddenly not believing at all?

please enlighten me instead of trying to insult my intellectual ability in almost every one of your posts.

I just read the OP's reply to my comment and I find it quite insulting (on the first page).

It's one thing to reject my religion, I can live with that but to then insult God and being sarcastic is another. At least have respect for religions and religious people. There is no need to get hostile.
The act of hostility sends a message that deep down you are not comfortable with your decision. Now, I am sure you are but you are sure you have but you are not going about it the right way.

the shahadah doesn't forbid me to be open-minded and question the veracity of islam, which at first i did for the sake of my faith but which then ended in apostasy. i admit initially it was a hard and depressing transition.

and okay i wont insult your intellectual ability nor will i ask why you chose to ignore the rest of my argument in previous posts as I no longer care to do so tbh.
