I'm finding university maths easier than STEP I to be fair lol. STEP I is no STEP II or III but I find even a 2 in I way more impressive than an A* in Maths or Further Maths (not Additional Further A* with all the crazy mechanics you have to do though)
Really? I'm pretty confident about getting a 1 in STEP I right now, worried about how hard STEP II and III are though...
University maths easier than STEP? Which university do you go to? I'm applying to Cambridge and I doubt that Cambridge maths would be easier than STEP XD.

Well I doubt I'll be finding it easier by next term when we have first exams, and admittedly I've only partially engaged (i.e just brief sketch solutions or ignoring boring stuff) with some of the not-for-credit hard material; I was more trying to defend STEP I than play down university I guess. Warwick. It could be moving faster, I have way more time to relax than I feel like you're meant to have at uni, but I don't know if that's my fault for not really bothering with anything that isn't a proper set assignment. I know Cambridge is like fifty times faster than any other course lol.
edit: A word of caution on STEP confidence; I did the recent past papers for I and got high 1-low S and scraped a 1 in the exam; exam conditions seem to matter much more when the exam isn't super simple. But that's probably not true for everyone, I guess, and if going for Cambridge II and III should surely harden you up for I.
