I wonder the type of comments I would get if I made a thread titled "Do men even need women???" and generalised all women.

Ive seen a few posts like this saying that all a man needs a woman for is sex, many people seemed to just ignore it.

I think its more realistic to just see people as people with their skills rather than assuming their skills based on gender, that was for medievil fantasy times. When you go out everyday you are helped by people of both genders people can be good and bad at different jobs. Im female and cant cook/make good cups of tea to save my life and im rubbish at conversation/showing affection. Whereas my 21 year old male friend didnt know how to lift a wheelbarrow, he got there in the end with help. He's great at conversation/socialising though

There's an abundance of psychological reasons that could be given as juxtaposition to your statement.
However the physical one's are more interesting:
    1. Dog shits on carpet
    2. Baby shits on carpet
    3. Vibrator malfunctions, blows up and sets fire to carpet
Depending on who you chose, a fully grown male will USUALLY not **** on the carpet. Also, I am yet to whitness a male penis malfuctioning, exploding and setting fire to a carpet.

Women don’t seek out comfort or stability in men anymore - they seek entertainment. Once the entertainment declines she moves on to something else. The only way a man can keep a girl is if he adopts the mentality of a soap opera writer, adding a cliffhanger to the end of each episode that keeps a woman interested when being a good man no longer does.
They would if men offered it. Lol if a man is a good guy and also entertaining that's a woman's dream. It's usually that the entertaining men are hoes.
Also I'm sure entertainment is also a requirement alongside comfort and stability.

As a woman I honestly don't feel like I need a man relationship wise. What could a man offer me?

I make my own money and pay my own bills. I have a nice car. Kids? Sperm donor or just buy a dog. Sex? Vibrator(most men are rubbish in bed) or a FWB would do. protection? Police(note: 2 women a week are killed by their partners so maybe we need protection from them instead) . I can fix my own thing -well I can change a bulb, do the D.I,Y etc

Conversation? I get that at work and with friends. Emotional comfort? Women are better at it so one of my female friends will do.

Oh and I forgot to add that married women are the most unhappiest people- various studies support this. After the glamour of the big wedding wears off most women come to the realisation that they f'ed up. Besides how many men out there truly respect they wives and not expect them to be they second mothers or servants.

    Lol how old are you?

Where you're like 30, you are gonna look bad on how you were now and cringe so hard.

Women don't need men, but the human race does for sure. And if you want to live alone, that's fine to be honest, but I don't think men are as bad as you say, that's all.

I've been cheated on 5 times and don't use that as a basis for generalising all women. I'd advise you to take the same mindset, otherwise you'll be known as "that bitter old ***** with 74 cats who hasn't been nailed for several decades".
Maybe she doesnt want to be 'nailed' though thats the point of the thread. Like you said people cheat but rather than carry on dating some people must just stop bothering.

I am 31. I totally get where she is coming from. The truth is that women do not NEED men in modern life. As such, they are a luxury and have to add value to your already complete life in order to be worth the hassle. This explains why I am single.

Often its the opposite people get to 30 then think 'how naive and needy was i in my teens, i shouldnt rely on others to make me happy'

i understand the points which you have made here. however, if you meet your 'soulmate' - which i have then your view on love and relationships changes. i used to have the same opinions as you, but now i don't. honestly don't generalise men, nor focus around the relationships where the man and woman were never truly in 'love.'
i apologise for coming across as 'cheesy' but i believe in true love. when you have met that one person who you will spend the rest of your life with, your faith in love will be regained.

Lol no, you're 31 and single.... you are soon to become a post-wall woman.

If you could have a man / get into long term relationship right now, you definitely would, but you've ended up as over 30 and single because:

    a) you've obvs been telling yourself "I'm an independent woman and I dont need no man" BS for so long, you're in total denial;

    b) like most women who end up in your situation, as you approached 30 rather than finding a good man to settle down, you likely just prioritized having fun and being free and rode the **** carousel, but now you're soon approaching 35 and very soon your sexual and marital value will be close to zero.

Also as a pro-tip to guys: A woman above the age of 30 and single is a red flag. Women know their fertility will drop off a cliff by like 35, so when a woman hasnt found a man to settle down with by 30, it means there's probably something wrong with her. Likely issues:

    a) she spent her 20s riding **** carousel, and no man wants her
    b) too demanding or high maintenance to hold onto a man
    c) too feminist & man-hating to hold onto a man
    d) some other personality flaw

    I'd agree with you if:

    A) It wasn't for the difference in not feeling the need to get laid/enter a relationship as a result of a combination of introspection and critical thinking, and emotionally and bitterly ranting about how all men will cheat on you.

    B) She hadn't made a thread a few hours prior to/after posting that particular post. The thread in question concerned whether she should get back with someone who had cheated on her.

As it is, I didn't appreciate her baseless generalisation so I pulled her up on it. Which I don't see a problem with. So... what are you getting at?

On a scale of 1 to 10, how threatened by my independence did you need to feel to be so very rude?

As it happens I am divorced, and the freedom I have now is something I treasure. I would love to find a man (not a boy) who has something to add to my life, but as you have just shown, the man who isn't threatened by a woman's independence is a rare one. You can continue to try to shame women into settling for a boy, or just maybe you could become a really amazing man who can respect a woman and be an equal partner.
