    Durham- Maths- A*AA

Very happy overall. Wanted an A* in physics but the empa messed me up. Btw i wrote one of the empa papers in blue by accident could i have lost ums for this? Cheers.
You wouldn't have lost marks for writing in blue. They say to write in black in exams because it's meant to be easier for them to mark it since they scan it and mark it on the computer and black shows up best. But if yours wasn't clear enough since you wrote in blue, the marker would have asked for the paper copy.

How did you do so well in Politics? Do you have any advice?
First thing is you need to KNOW a lot about the subject. You need to spend a lot of your time reading UK and US news, and books about politics. Everyday I read Politico, Wash Post, New York Times. You have to really be interested in it.

As for the exam itself - write 4 points instead of 3 on the 15 markers. 45 markers, write atleast 3 sides, present both sides of the argument, and make sure to use reent example from UK and US politics.

I had a really hard year: I was ill a lot, had surgery just before the exam, but still managed to get in to uni and achieve grades that are greater than what I needed. At AS I got BDDU: look at what a year can do. :')

I still can't believe I'm going to Cambridge - my French exam was absolutely hideous and I got a C on the English paper (thank God, Jesus and Shakespeare for high AS results, and pity the next generation of students!). I've had such a terrible summer waiting and waiting and thinking all was lost and now I'm in shock. The one blight on the day is that my grandma died about three weeks ago and she was my biggest cheerleader, so I'm heartbroken she couldn't see this day, but I know she always believed in me anyway.

Really happy; as I'm not quite sure where to go with life at the moment, it's reassuring to have the grades to have some choice next year. Well done to everyone and good luck
