first define each group's attributes.

Group A
Circular objects
No preference over colour

Group B
Straight objects
Odd amount of objects in each box
No preference over colour

The Object
Circular
Black
Even amount

Therefore Group A imo
Sounds about right to me. Holsy, what is the actual answer?

Hey, don't worry too much. It's just one of those things that if you perform on the day or not. The less stressed and more focused you are the better you will perform. Try to relax and work as much as you can to gain confidence. I have my exam next week and haven't prepared much since a while ago. I too hate abstract reasoning!
Yeah, I only started to prepare a few days ago. I finished college on Wednesday so worked a bit on Wednesday and Thursday and then spent most of today on looking at questions etc.

Good luck on yours.

Thanks Holsy, . Good luck on yours also.

13th August.

I have no idea what the actual 'correct' answer is as I just yoinked it from the UKCAT website. I'd say we're all right in thinking it's A though. :five:

I'm going to buy, steal, beg or borrow it a week before the exam. I've looked at last year's edition and found it quite helpful. I'm not going to get any other books or courses for it though; I'm very doubtful about their usefulness!

Yup. Stole it from colleges 'For reference only' section for about a week then mysteriously returned it...after reading it all and photocopying good parts :p:

I found the first section a good read, the BMAT I'm not taking so the third section wasn't helpful at all lol, but for the UKCAT section I found the reasoning behind the abstract reasoning helpful, as previously I couldn't find any at all.

As for UKCAT, I've always been very good at verbal reasoning and averaged about 700 on the practise, still got a while to go before I apply but will keep practising, good luck everyone else. And as for the answer on the previous page, it is definatly A. The UKCAT answer sheet just says: 'both black circles, so A'. I really do think that this section is more simple than people make it out to be.

Good luck to the rest of you.
