What was the answer for the independent company?
It means a a company that hasn't had anything to do with the development of the drug, so the results of the experiment won't be biased

I got 0.666 whoops for the malaria one

Posted from TSR Mobile
I think thats right.
Its 3x10 8 (300,000,000) infected and 2x10 6 (2,00,000) dead. Thats 1/150 dead out of the infected wich is 0.666% when x100
10. What was the rat question?
11. Subliminal message of under age drinking. AQA is part of big brother trying to influence us to drink under age.
12. its 0.6% -_- (or 0.66%) (but asked for technically a non recurring decimal) but on the mark scheme i foresee it will say "allow 0.6% or the other (0.66%)

2mil / 300mil x 100 = 0.66666666666666666666 (0.6% or 0.66%) I do not see how you people do not have more faith lmao, especially an independent company, it was clearly referring to the fact that its a company who is an outside company non affiliated with the drug makers who conduct non bias tests when the drug is being made, these include double blind tests ect which are all administrated by the independent company. k mate.
13. I don't get why everyone's complaining, it wasn't that bad was it?
14. (Original post by charliej2802)
The Calc was: (2,000,000/300,000,000) x 100?
Gave me 0.666666666% so 0.67%
Yep I got that exactly
15. Anyone that didn't get the percentage that died from malaria, have fun with GCSE maths.
16. Did the last one have to be an animal or could you have put lichen?
17. (Original post by lunaticash19995)
I thought you had to times by 100
that is multiplying it by 100, to get 66% you would have to have timesed it by 10,000
18. Anyone that didn't get the percentage that died from malaria. have fun with the GCSE maths exam.

Yep no clue why most people are going crazy, there are always questions that are not really biology related like the bird on a while ago or pollution graphs.
but it was super easy anyway so i see no reason to complain
