Do people get rejected before or after they receive the 8-week email? (just wondering)
I got rejected 4 weeks into my 8 week email and so did another guy at my school

You could've received a rejection by now. Anything other than that means you're still in the game. It's good news
well I'm predicted A*,A,B.. but for politics they want A,A,A... I'm just getting really worried.. I had my 2 week email this week....
can anyone please tell me what else lse look for in a student if their predicted grades are low ?
Also can anyone tell me how many people got places last year for politics ?

I'm not sure about your first question, but if you're talking about the politics and IR course, that's a new one so they don't have any admissions figures for that.

From what I've seen, if you don't meet the predicted grade requirements you get rejected outright

Applied for straight Econs and almost 7 weeks into my 8 weeks email but still no news from LSE. This wait is seriously killing me...Oh well its rejection Friday today and so just praying hard LSE doesn't contact me today.

I got rejected a week after the 2 week email because I didn't meet their IB requirements of 6,6,6 HL points (I had 7,7,5). I don't think they even looked at my personal statement, though my university advisor told me that he's had past experience with students getting accepted with lower grades but a strong personal statement. Also, I'm pretty sure that LSE lists the number of students enrolled in each course on the course's website.

Do LSE only give out offers on Thursdays and rejections on Fridays?? My interview for Cambridge would be much more relaxed if I got an offer from LSE beforehand.

Got the offer sorted. A*AA + E in AS FM for Economics L101

I'm kind of tied between UCL and LSE at the moment. I'm concerned that at LSE I will just be speaking to international relations, gov and politics and management students all the time tho in the sense that conversation is always geared to politics - an area I have no real interest in (as an economist).

I heard that a lot of LSE students are friends with UCL and Cambridge students due to joint events and going to the same spots in London (spec. UCL obv) is this true? I just want to meet people with diverse interests as well as those with interests in my subject. I feel I would get more of that at UCL.

Atm I would go to LSE on prestige and ranking. Got a Cambridge interview on Tues but not too fussed about it since I've received LSE and UCL.

At the UCL open day (where we were told we would get offers), the students themselves said that a lot of the LSE students often went to UCL events to get to know different people... So I guess in if you do want to meet more people with differing interests I suppose UCL would be the way forward...
I got an interview on tuesday as well for Cambridge! Good luck!!

Yeah, I guess it is always open. I think as well that if you live in London, your bound to socialise with people from other Unis due to their relative close proximity.

What college and subject? I'm guessing Economics for the latter.

Economics at Murray Edwards. Which college are you applying at?
I'm a little worried about the interview - but I'm just telling myself that if I don't get in it wasn't meant to be XD and if I embarrass myself I'll never have to see them again

Yeah there isn't any stress on us to be honest. If you really want to go to Cambridge and you miss out but go to another top Uni, who's to say you can't do a masters there one day?

I'm applying to Emmanuel, I've got 2 preparatory study interviews

I have a one hour test (it said in the letter no special preparation is needed, so no idea what the test is on), followed by two back-to-back interviews (which has it's advantages; I have no time to panic between interviews )
