Hi guys, i've applied to both cambridge and LSE and i'm wondering what everyone's opinions are on which one you'd prefer to go to?
I've applied to Cambridge and LSE as well and actually having the same sort of dilemma. I think I would have chosen LSE though, although I need to get the offers first

I did the Royal Economic Society Essay, Target 2.0 and went to masterclasses at universities and went to the Debate Chamber Economics Summer School. Wrote about all of those in PS.
You could also do an Economics based EPQ.
How do you to about doing the economics society essay and target 2.0 is it an online thing or do you have to go somewhere for it? Yeah I'm probably going to do an Economics based EPQ too.
I bought the undercover economist and will probably read other books to do with economics. Is it better to read less popular books to show more originality?

3A*s in maths/science subjects is amazing. You could do further maths this year? Or just further maths AS. Or you could do an essay subject or just an AS this year?
Cheers, might do AS further maths!

Does anyone know how competitive Government and Economics BSc is at LSE? It says it requires AAA, but I assume they want people maybe better than that? Would A*AA (with A* in maths) give you a good chance of getting a place?

Ah sick, well done mate! What was the magic ingredient for your personal statement then?
To be honest I took a risk which clearly paid off by including various extra-curricular activities that I have undertaken in the past two years. (E.g. Piano grade 7, u18 national front crawl champions runner up, gold duke of Edinburgh)
I knew I would differentiate myself from the competition by doing this, and it has worked out for me!
Hope your personal statement is great too!

The same as it would be with FM. They're honestly not that fussed about it like other unis.

They don't really need to care about your PS since they can access how much you care about the subject at interview.
