    Does anybody know what the grade boundaries were last year? I'm really worried i want an A but not sure if I'll get one. The calc paper let me down.
    There were very low, you should compare to June 2014 more. I think our papers were easier than June 2014 (and 2015) so it will be higher than June 2014

    June 2015 (lowest grade boundaries ever for A / A*)
    A* - 155
    A - 125
    B - 95
    C - 65

    June 2014
    A* - 164
    A - 133
    B - 95
    C - 57

    I think our exam will be like

    A* : 165 - 168
    A : 135 - 140 (if you got 140 then it's guaranteed 140, the highest I seen for A is 141 or 143 but that's in a november or march resit paper, not june)
    B : 95 - 105
    C : 60 - 65

    But honestly, it might be lower if we are lucky, and I hope it is lower, like 160-165 for A* and 130-135 for A lol.

    For the last question, instead of directly putting A into B from the triangle on the formula, I labelled the triangle A B C in a clockwise direction. So then when I put in the values in the formulas, I put B (in the formula) as C (in the triangle) and C(in the formula) as B(in the triangle). Is this the correct thing to do?
    They wont mark you down for re-labeling as long as you found the angle for the one they were asking for. Many use this method, i do sometimes when rearranging can be just skipped by the re-labelling

    Well some people are getting rather ratty at this contradiction to 3.8 xD
    oh well leave it to the examiners. Besides what did you get? i got 96/100 (i counted 3.7 as the wrong answer). Accidently forgot to write frequency density on the y axis when drawing the graph, i got the last question wrong ( i got 80.8) and i lost another mark on the algebraic fraction ( i didnt realise u had to expand x-3 to -1 (-x+3)

    Hi I'm going to start and unofficial markscheme so add your answers
    Reps are not necessary but would be appreciated

    It would be really useful if you could remember the question numbers
    1. Order numbers correctly and include a key
    b) 9/20=
    0.45
    2a. 5a*2b*3c =
    30abc
    b. Factorise fully 3y +6 =
    3(y+2)
    c. Expand x(x-3)=
    x^2-3x
    3.
    x=9.25
    4. Smallest packet was best value for money because it was cheapest per bag of crisps
    5. 4 times as many red than green: There were 0.4 blue and 0.15 yellow.
    0.4+0.15+4x+x=1
    0.55+5x=1
    5x=0.45
    x=0.09
    4x=0.36
    Green- 0.09 Red- 0.36
    6a. 20.3
    b. 68.04kg
    c. 2.61m
    7. 3.8
    8a. 4:3
    b. 480 pixels
    9.x= 124 degrees
    10. 7.92
    11.£42.29
    12. x=144 degrees
    13.
    -2 -1 0 1 2
    -1 3 1 -1 3
    Draw curve
    14. 3 Bars
    15. No, because 7766.22 was greater than 7500 pounds
    16. 128g
    b.11g
    17. 30.1
    18. 10a^5b^4
    b. y= 5p^2-x
    19.11 males
    20. x= 0.29 or x= -2.29
    21. 29.25

    From that I got around 96-97, dropped marks on the ****ing steel rods question which pissed me off. Scribbled out all my working in the main bit where you're supposed to do it, and then had to do it in the top corner and still was way off.

    I somehow got ****ing 292 when it was just 3. Ah well, happy with everything else.

    Wasn't the last question like 1/2 * 7 * 8 Sin(X) = 18

    56Sin(x) = 36

    Sin^-1(36/56) = X

    x = 40

    ???

    I think I did it wrong then.
    This is for the other angle. You then had to do cosine rule and then sine rule.

    Being very harsh i gave myself 90-91, but you will still get 2 marks for the 3.7 question for method, ive asked my teachers.

    For the last question I have noticed that many people, including me, obtained an answer of 40.0 degrees. This is wrong. The answer of 40.0 degrees will only get you 2 marks. We worked out the wrong angle because most people eg me thought that they wanted us to work out the included angle between the two measurements. The angle that we had to work out was one of the top angles. Moral of the lesson - read the question properly. Overall very easy maths papers.
