2:1 in any subject and ukcat above their threshold (575 last year, which was lower than usual).

Not for grads, they just look at your degree classification.

Would've been fine last year. It's a bit risky, but your score isn't going to cut it for GEM programs so I don't see why it isn't worth a go.

Just started preparing for the UKCAT and I don't know where to start! I'm so confused. Please help someone lol. I've heard a lot of the test is based on timing and being able to answer the questions quickly, would someone who's done it give me tips for each individual section. I'm aiming for 700+ but it doesn't seem likely lol

Why wouldn't that be a strong application? It's very good.

Yep, you apply in the October of final year normally. I think it's only Birmingham that require you to have graduated when you apply, though someone may correct me there.

You can get a maintenance loan, but no tuition fee loan. So at least £36k to find for graduates on the 5 year course.

Your work experience will still be valuable 4 years on. However this year at Warwick we had to have 70 hours of work experience/ volunteering within the last 2 years.

Some places place emphasis on A-Levels, some don't care.

Have a look at this link:

Don't Imperial also require you to have graduated?
    I'm unsure myself though.

No problem! One thing to note for Imperial is that since they changed their 4 year course to a 5 year one, graduates no longer get tuition fee loans, so you'd have to finance quite a lot yourself.

I forgot to mention that the chance of me getting 700+ is like 2% lol. Also my a levels are very bad, nursing is not classed as a 'science subject' and I am too late for GAMSAT. So I can only apply to Warwick and Newcastle *sighs*

I am seriously starting to worry. I'm struggling so much with VR, mainly the timings. My averages of 800+ for DA I feel is going to be shot down by this ****ty algorithm which is **** considering I was hoping to use it to compensate for bad VR. AR is my second best section, so I'm confident I can get 700s so long as I get given a good set. But overall with people scoring lower than they wanted, I think my hope for a 720+ score may be gone and thus GEM lost for this year. I'm so terrified !

Try and stay calm. You've worked hard and can only do your best.. The exam is meant to test you and is not meant to be easy. Don't try and compensate for one section with another. Just keep practicing but don't burn out. The algorithm for da is frustrating but it's the same for everybody.
