    40k - 50k is comfortable middle income territory. But it doesn't go far.
    Haven't had a holiday in several years, cars are over 10 years old and were bought second hand for not very much.
    In quite a lot of debt to stay afloat.

    Wierd how I compare to my mates households with lower incomes and their parents are driving relatively new bmws and doing well for themselves.
