Oh, okey doke. That's cleared up one of my worries in that case.
Excellent. Do you have any other worries which I could try to address?

I dismiss it because I don't agree with what's being said. However, I think that you and I have very different definitions of partisanship. As Speaker, I would not be blocking Bills because I don't have that right. I wouldn't be blocking motions and I wouldn't be debating. I can only show you through what I would do as Speaker, but there are occasions when I have debated and not been partisan so, while I see that you have concerns, I don't agree with them because I haven't always resorted to partisan behaviour and I wouldn't do so if elected Speaker.
Let us hope you aren't elected, though since I'm not an MP that's not my decision. Of course, I urge people to vote RON.

Why? If you have any questions, I will try to answer them to show you and others that I am the right person for the office of Speaker.

My only other concern is that you might be a little bit obstinate sometimes. Like during the argument with Nick you were steadfast opposed to his view - I don't get the impression that you considered it properly, after all it was more reasonable as you can probably see now. And in this thread yesterday you said that any people submitting a manifesto (if RON were to win) wouldn't really want to be speaker, which I don't think is correct.

Why? Because I don't trust you. I don't need to ask any other questions of you to know my own mind.

I think that I can be and I agree with you, but I have also been seen to work with lots of different people as well. If elected, I would look to address those concerns. I see your concern about my statement in this thread and I can see both sides now so I think that I have learned that occasionally I should take a step back first, then give my interpretation/ argument (though I expect to need to provide an argument/ interpretation for something rarely). Hopefully I can start putting that into practice, but I would agree with you there, but I've identified how I can work on that.

I have a personal question for you. If toronto was to suddenly switch allegiances from UKIP to the socialists? Would he then suddenly be a suitable candidate?

It appears that you personally are after a speaker which will provide your party an advantage within the MHoC. And are holding this personal bias against the candidate because you don't believe you are likely to get it with toronto. You said yourself Alasdair let on more to you than other parties. Did you try and get him removed for that?

Adorno's said himself that the best speakers are those with no political beliefs, so the Lib Dems. Objecting to non-Socialist candidates is not akin to wanting a socialist, right?

But he is making it clear that the only reason why toronto is not a suitable candidate is because of the party that he represents in the MHoC. Why should someone's political beliefs inihibit someone in a neutral office. Surely in that respect the House can veto any potential candidate that comes from the left given what Adorno confirmed about the last true Socialist speaker.

If that's the issue then no-one at all could be the speaker surely? And I'm sure toronto would agree, that if he ever was found leaking information from forums then he'd be removed from his position post-haste

I would never leak information and would resign immediately if I were ever to be found doing so.

To answer your question: no. The issue isn't that he comes from the right, nor do I want a leftist speaker either. Al had his troubles which prevented him from being a great speaker but as I say I think the role should go to a centrist. In many ways Morgsie would be the man for the job.

Could someone explain what this argument with Nick was about. Seems a lot of people have referred to it? Much appreciated if JPKC you or if anyone else can

Some people and I wanted to submit a censure motion against JPKC. Nick blocked it twice and people (including myself) voted against Nick's Speakership Motion. He still retained the Speakership. On reflection, I was wrong in my actions and I have learned from it.

New information has been sent to my office that seriously implicates toronto in various cases of pederasty. I am shocked and appalled.
