The Saudis are totally incompetent and their campaign is only causing more civilian deaths, and they don't like to admit that.
Despite the British weaponry and advice they are unable to bring an end to this.
The huthis meanwhile continuing their executions and indiscriminate bombing.
On the other hand you also have AQ Yemen making as much gains as they can in the south while everyone else is busy.
And in all of this poor civilians are stuck in the middle suffering.
not just british, USA have sold saudi 1 billion dollars of arms this year, france close also,. this becuase saudi has lost over 400 tanks in the yemen conflcit, so obviouly the arabs are piss poor at militry strategy, but they have deep pockets. as of last year 1600+ civilians have been killed by saudi led gulf arab airstrikes

Amnesty have called for the removal of Saudi from the UN Rights council

the Children of Israel were sent down the most messengers in the entire world so clearly. There's something fishy about them
there is nothing at all "fishy" about the children of Israel

While having one peaceful interpretation laid down by scholars which every single Muslim followed would be excellent, in practice this is not possible. There are about 1.6 billion Muslims on the earth (I believe? Correct me if not) and there will always be people who would disagree with said interpretation or perhaps even be unaware of the existence of this interpretation. Therefore we are left with something which has a fundamental flaw and from which extremist ideas can spread.

I have some other questions which I have been pondering. I wonder, what are the views on homosexuality from people in this thread? Or more specifically do people believe that homosexuality is a choice? If you believe that it is not a choice then clearly Allah must be cruel, since he created all homosexual people and it is not a choice, then he has put them on this earth doomed to enter the fires of hell for eternity no matter what they do.

On the contrary if you believe that it is a choice and people have the ability choose to be aroused by a member of the same sex, then you believe that these people purposefully choose to make their lives harder? It is a fact that some Muslims are gay and imagine how hard it must be for them thinking of the fires awaiting them when they die, or even on this earth, the reaction of their families, why would they choose this?

My last question concerns myself. Although I do not believe in Paradise or in hell (I think they are just excellent indoctrination tools) I know people here do, it is simply in my nature (the way Allah made me) to question things for which there is no hard evidence. I simply could not be a fully fledged believer in Islam even if I wanted to unless I saw a supernatural miracle. Therefore I ask has the God which you believe in created me to be consigned to hell?

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
those are all excellent questions, and I am also interested in reading some answers by Muslim posters

havent seen anyone comment so thought id mention saudi led bombing campaign in yemen re started today , carpet bombing sanaa,
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/wo...-a7180531.html
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raijoon.

It really is sad. When countries like India kill or maim Muslims indiscriminately in kashmir , I sort of expect it from them because they have anti Muslim agenda and an anti Muslim leader at the helm. I wish Saudi wouldn't treat fellow Muslims in this manner, as a Muslim, we expect more from them.

May Allah guide the leaders of Saudi and lead them away from their path of tyranny.

    Thanks for sharing

A poor girl injured by regime snipers. Suffering in madaya, no painkillers just pain.
Regime forces and hizbul-murder refuse any aid to enter, or let civilians leave.
She says to them '' think of me as your daughter, your sister''
Clicked on the vid. Saw thumbnail and just closed it because her face looks too sad to watch.

I don't really expect much better from the regime, Russia, Iran and hizbul-murder. I wouldn't want to be the leaders of these criminals on the day of resurrection.

May Allah ease the situations of the Muslims in shaam.

saudi and the arab states have an agenda of their own.
i can see you are trying to spark off another incendiary as you did before about kashmir - lets again get it clear, the problems in kashmir are 100% down to the fact islamists operate freely from accross the border and hide themselves amoung the villagers there to plot attacks - just like any islamist groups operate in uk, france, germany, sweden, iraq, usa canada etc etc . there is no agenda there or any of these other places- just a failure of the muslim world to control the spread of islamist terrorism by apologising for it (you are a good example of this)

I'm not trying to spark anything big man. You quoted me so I read your post and replied. If you don't want me to quote you and state my dislike of leaders of countries who kill Muslims e.g. India, Saudi, Iran etc... then it's best not to quote my 2 day old post randomly.

It's a shame you make excuses for Indian state terrorism but then try to shame Saudi. It seems you're OK with some killers but not others. I'm sure the Saudi would also try to claim they were only trying to aim for houthi terrorists.

Man why are you vexed all the time. Relax. Every time you come in here, you accuse Muslims of apologising for/ supporting/sympathising with terrorists. Your deep hatred for us probably isn't good for your heath

saudi is carpet bombing whole cities, for the promotion of its suni islam agenda . india is hunting terrorists hiding amoung villages, not the same thing by even the most desperate stretch. uk, usa, french etc all are hunting terrorists globally because islamist terrorism is a global problem. india just has a more basic method than americans and europeans. it isnt an 'agenda' . i replied to you becuase despite your constant posts about syria, kashmir etc, youve been pindrop silent as to what saudi and gulf arabs is doing in yemen. ....

    Narrated: Abu Huraira
who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "The first of people against whom judgment will be pronounced on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who died a martyr. He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favours and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say: 'And what did you do about them?' He will say: 'I fought for You until I died a martyr.' He will say: 'You have lied - you did but fight that it might be said [of you]: 'He is courageous." And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire. [Another] will be a man who has studied [religious] knowledge and has taught it and who used to recite the Qur'an. He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favours and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say: 'And what did you do about them?' He will say: 'I studied [religious] knowledge and I taught it and I recited the Qur'an for Your sake.' He will say: 'You have lied - you did but study [religious] knowledge that it might be said [of you]: 'He is learned." And you recited the Qur'an that it might be said [of you]: 'He is a reciter.' And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire. [Another] will be a man whom Allah had made rich and to whom He had given all kinds of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favours and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say: 'And what did you do about them?' He will say: 'I left no path [un-trodden] in which You like money to be spent without spending in it for Your sake.' He will say: 'You have lied - you did but do so that it might be said [of you]: 'He is open-handed." And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire."
    It was related by Muslim.

I see. So you made your initial post to bait me rather than because of sadness due to loss of human life. Blinding hundreds of innocent people with pellet guns isn't fighting exactly islamic terrorism but like you said, India is basic and has to start it's state terrorism somewhere.

No you've just not been stalking me properly, luckily I saved a post specially for people like you (see below). You're welcome to browse all my posts and have a looksy for more examples (I'm too busy to do it for you)

If this was Assad (or Iran or Russia or Israel or America) there would be fury from Muslims.
Next time, if you feel the urge to bait me because of our past disagreements, I'd resist that urge.

Do you mind me asking what 41:16 stands for?
    Is that secret code?
Loool forgot I posted this

Noooo! Not a secret code lol

Its what i like to call 'The Quran' game

Basically, on off daya when im bored or Zam likes to reflect we will play the Quran game where i give him two random numbera that will hopefully be a verse in the Quran and he explains them to me

Oddly enough they always seem to reflect how im feeling or whats going on in my life etc - you can guess how well that goes down with me -_- but Zamestaneh seems to think that its a message from Allah  maybe it is :moon:

Either way, i quite enjoy it

You should play it sometime :mmm:

baiting = making up a lot of bs to instil a reaction - ie your comment "
Blinding hundreds of innocent people with pellet guns " seeing as kashmir ( espec based in pakistan side) has various confirmed blacklisted operating islamist groups recognised the world over as terrorist groups, kind of makes your squabbling with me irrelevant, simply shows you are in support of these groups and have a problem with countries taking actions against them. i assume you hold the same opinion of such groups operating in europe, uk too?

i just commented on the re-starting of bombing of yemen by saudi

Salaam, anyone paying for uni out of their own pockets?
I don't see how it's doable if you come from a low-income family...it's easy to say take a few years out and earn but with no qualifications the amount you can earn (and save) is very limited...nowhere near £27,000+ :/

    Wa'alaykumasalaam

I know some people who pay out of their own pockets. They work alongside studies to pay their uni fees. It's definitely doable if you are determined.

I think @MJlover got the national zakat foundation to help with her uni fees. So you may want to ask her about that aswell.

You should still be able to get a maintenance grant from student finance (which you don't have pay back, so don't have to deal with interests). The loan part, I'm think you can reject taking that? I'm not so sure, it's been so long since I dealt with student finance

Otherwise I'm sure others may have some advice on how to do it. I ended up taking a student loan for uni
