so use the eqn for Ir/I0. let z2 = 4z1 so (4z1-z1)^2/(4z1+z1)^2 = 9/25. 1- this for the intensity transmitted

it said intensity passing through NOT reflected, so you must minus the reflected percentage (36) from full percentage (100) to get intensity passing through

So decrease in mass

Mass converted into energy with equation

I pretty much said that although I had little confidence with it. I probably should have stated that it was becoming a proton though.

Same, and I said some of the energy goes into KE of the electron and antineutrino

for all those asking about a teachercol markscheme, while I cannot speak for him, for the g484 paper he released it on the same day at about 4pm. Obviously this paper will take longer so I'd guess you can expect the markscheme some time this evening or tomorrow

I was sort of stumped by the first question: what did you guys say for the electric field? I said that it's a region in space where a charged particle experiences an electrostatic force.
