Well damn you've got your whole life sorted. :gasp: Nice to meet you Melissa

Relevant law work experience... hmm. Well, I've attended a mock trial against a number of schools in the county at a magistrates court, plus I've had work experience at the international law firm of the year, Clifford Chance, in Canary Wharf and had the opportunity to observe a lawyer and his client for the day.

This probably has no relevance to law whatsoever but I've taken a Japanese course at Cambridge University as well as Jamaican, Greek and Latin at Oxford. People have told me to become a linguist as I have a natural flair for picking up languages quickly but Law is just... I don't know. Challenging. And who can say no to a challenge?
Nice to meet you too! Thank you, I love the concept of a challenge, and so I enjoy having academic goals, Congratulations on your work experience, Clifford Chance is a major UK commercial law firm and is one of the MC (Magic Circle) Firms. However, in terms of where I would love to work and retain a training contract, I much prefer the International US firms which offer secondments to New York etc. Some of these include: Latham and Watkins, White and Case and Kirkland and Ellis.

If you are talented as a linguist why don't you potentially specialise in a foreign country's laws? For instance, Mr... would like to study Law with French Law at Oxford, they also offer numerous other types of foreign laws as a joint honours.

I agree, we should still have an iMessage chat for those of us who have it and something else as well

Yes, just look into it, if it's not to your taste then you can still study "straight". up Law LLB or at Oxford a BA in Jurisprudence.

I love OitNB I am on season 2 and it is perfect it is even better than GoT and I love GoT...

Hopefully we will meet in Oxford :moon: You have some work to do before I forgive you for the athletics comment :cry2:

You do know the TV portayal of Lawyers isn't accurate right :teehee:
I'll definitely be watching it soon
The more I use this website the more I regret that comment! My sincerest apologies
I'm well aware of that  I meant the way they speak and address each other: they're all quick on their feet and have an answer to everything. Surely that can't be an inaccurate portrayal of a Lawyer.

    GASP YOU DESPISE ATHLETICS o.o

    HAI, I'm ellie :P

Please watch OITNB. S2 is amazing, and gets better the more you watch it :P
Athletics just isn't for me but hi anyway Ellie! Hehe okay.

First I need to get the grades before I even consider it I'm surprised at how everyone here is so certain on what they want from life in 10 years  Melissa even knows that she wants to go to Brasenose College in Oxford. How do you all have everything down to a T? I don't even know what I want for breakfast tomorrow.

Your welcome by the way, I enjoy helping my peers. Well, me and Mr... both want to preferably study at Brasenose College, although there are a few others that are to my liking (Balliol, Lincoln).
