I agree with you exactly. A* around 57, 120 UMS around 62/63.

But we'll have to find out if the AQA Gods are feeling friendly...

Mind you, people said they found PHYA2 easy last year and it was only 58/70 for 120 UMS (82%) for 120 UMS, so they may well be friendly...

That answer was definitely, definitely wrong. I remember 100% because I was fortunate enough to have 20 minutes remaining and that's one of the answers I changed, (from that to something else). There was another incorrect statement that I knew for sure was incorrect.

No, restoring force is min a centre of oscillation. 100% correct

What values did you get?


I got about 28 seconds for RC and roughy 75000 for the resistor. For the capacitor it was 8.3 x10-6 but i changed mine ever so by a tiny bit when i went back and checked answers, if they deduct marks for that i'm gonna cut, what about you.

Yeah that's exactly what I thought, I've lost a couple in the multi choice and like 5 or 6 on section B so should be a safe 120 ums. Someone should try make an official mark scheme because we are missing a lot at the moment so really can't estimate our marks accurately


I think it'll be higher, it was such a standard paper
