Simone de Beauvoir is my idol, but even I don't think it should be banned. it literally makes no sense.
the rights to free expression, speech, conscience and thought are enshrined, you want to ban a 'newspaper' because you dont agree with its content....
what next? back to censoring books with a 'questionable' content...or why not go all out and burn them?!
I don't buy the Sun and I would never do page 3, but I respect the right of anyone else to chose for themselves.
Utterly ridiculous argument, it's your kind who degrade women; giving creedance to the view that all Feminists are whackos.
the women who participate in these shoots want to do it for themselves which is the main point of it all, sure i can understand that some women dont like seeing it but they tend to be the prudish type of people that dislike women at the beach who wear bikinis.
i say if you're comfortable with your body and want to show it off then its all down to you, and that goes for both genders. sure it shouldnt be put in kids faces but kids dont really read newspapers, and if they do then something is going wrong with their parents "hey Timmy come and have a look at this!"
i dont see why its such a big problem with some people, if you dont like it then dont go looking for it.
yet another idiot trying to spoil our fun
I think they're grown women who can choose how to use their bodies...I'd rather them be paid by mainstream media if such a thing has to happen than them go underground, which would inevitably happen if publications couldn't freely publish such material.
Nope.... Newspapers also have columns dedicated to 'women's' material and I often see half naked men jump up out of newspapers, it may not be page 3, but it's still there. I don't think it's right to block one set of 'revealing' images but still manage to include others.
all i can say is that i give thanks for level headed chicks because i no most chicks in england are level headed but there's a minority that act like dogs...stop trying to spoil our fun...page 3 is here to stay
I'd support some kind of age restriction on buying daily magazines like the Sun or the Star (lets face it, they're not newspapers). But I don't think it's fair to ban women from posing topless in magazines. If they want to, why shouldn't they be allowed to? Isn't it up to them if they find it degrading and not some other woman?
If the Sun and the Star were good interesting papers they would not need page 3 to sell them.
wait do you mean Page 3 should be banned or the actual women should be banned? At the end of the day it's their choice to do what they do, I'm not a fan... but who reads the sun anyway??
