Hello! It's so difficult finding resources for The Woman in Black because there are not many schools that do it. If anyone has any really useful resources for the exam next week it would be really helpful if you could share them. Thanks in advance

    Hey all!

I am just doing a past paper for unit 1 and I would just like some ideas.

The question is: "What do you think is the importance of Inspector Goole and how does Priestley present him?"

I would just like a few ideas as to what a good answer would include. Thank you in advance.

I did that paper in class. Talk about the inspectors entrance, by talking about stage directions. Talk about how the inspector is real or fake and how he presents the view Priestley is trying to convey- socialism. The impact he has on others.

Are we 'technically' allowed un-annotated sticky notes at key quotes in the exam?
In January last year, I did this, our 'exam guy' (Not the invigilator, but the guy who organises and runs all our exams) came round and picked up OMAM book and flicked through it (He picks random people to check for cheaters) and put it down. Not only did I have sticky-notes, but I wrote the letter of the person saying the quote on the note (Like 'C' for Candy ect) My question is:
Is this allowed? and will I be allowed to do this in the exam on Monday?

Thanks, also how are you guys revising the quotes?

Im not too sure, but from the sample answers that we were shown, students who got full marks wrote 2 and a half sides.

By the way how are you revising for this exam, are you doing aic and omam.

    Ahh ok thanks again!

I am doing AIC and TKAMB. Well I am currently attempting past questions, going to get my teacher to mark them. I am also looking at the context (the history side of AIC like socialism etc because I really don't get it haha).

I am starting to really worry about timing and not knowing what to write. What about yourself?

Yeah, same for me. Dont really know how to structure the answer. Im slightly relived by the fact that if i get a D is still get an A overall, but I need an a*.

    And Inspector calls?
With Of Mice and Men, I am fairly certain it will Slim, Curley or a place; for example the Bunkhouse came up a couple of years ago.

I can't help you with Inspector calls.

I do The Crucible, John Proctor has yet to come up and It will be an absolute dream if he comes up. Last year it was Giles Corey, who is quite a hard character, so I'm expecting a character such as Hale, the Putnams, or maybe even Danforth or Tituba. Would be lovely if Elizabeth or John Proctor came up though, but I'm not expecting it. I'd go for Hale or the Putnams.

Anyone else do Character and Voice for poetry? No idea what could come up. Not exactly looking forward to the poetry exam.

Yeah same! I am really aiming for an A* but I am afraid that the poetry comparison in the other exam will let me down.

Why, I found that quite easy and straight forward. What did you get in it? Or are you yet to do it?
