So just to confirm, you are a troll?
I'm being serious. There's clearly something fundamentally wrong with your logic and thinking process. You're dangerous as a member of society - which does exist and is a real objective thing to be witnessed 'out there'.

Today you're a free market communist, tomorrow you may seriously harm someone.

What I've noticed while defending Thatcher both on TSR but especially in real life is that the basis of those against her is "because of the coal mines!" and there's definitely a correlation between a lack of intelligence and taking a leftist stance on this issue. In a class debate, one girl even tried to sell off that she killed off "thriving industies"

Fits in with the fact he's blatantly trolling.

How did you possibly remove your rep gem bar etc? Did you privatize them?

    But seriously, how?

If you were being serious you'd actually respond to the points I'm raising. As it stands you're just making yourself look even stupider by the post with these irreverent ramblings.

    Thatcher = small government
pol pot noodles = massive public expenditure advocator and nr1 fan of Obamacare

What can I possibly add to this? I cannot take you seriously as a thinking mammal.

I think I'd rather saw one of my legs off with a butter knife than sit in with college kids debating Thatcher. Half of them don't have a clue and, as you say, simply repeat rhetoric that a simply bit of research would have told them isn't actually true. That class debate must have been painful on your ears.

I see you have trouble reading. I haven't advocated either big government spending nor Obamacare. What I did do was point out that you were factually incorrect when you claimed that Thathcer didn't increase spending on healthcare and social security. Stop with the strawman arguments and either get back to debating the actual relevant topic at hand or frankly bugger off.

Indeed. The most annoying of all was was my feminist teacher who tried to force her political agenda onto my class. My friends were laughing so much at how angry I got at her. Then she started telling us about Thatcher supported apartheid and was racist. So at the end of the class I said, overly-loud "She's like this because 'feminism is poison" .. wiped that smirk off her face.

Reducing the state, HELLO the State grew. An example is the 1988 Education Act where Central Government determined the National Curriculum etc

Can I ask what people's views are on her expensive ceremonial funeral? And also if anyone can shed some light on just how different this is from a state funeral? Seems that even some who support her are against the funeral in the way it's being conducted.

Nobody knows the true cost although it is known that the thatcher estate is paying towards it. Remember this is a woman who made sure the british taxpayer wasn't out of pocket when her son went missing in the Sahara.

the bulk of the bill will be security, and that'll have to be paid if its a private funeral as they're will be a lot of VIPs.

£10 million is peanuts fir such and event.

Talk about pissing on her grave, her funeral seems like the greatest insult of them all.

Haha, Falklands war criminal. Sinking an enemy ship full of enemy soldiers that had been ordered to get into position for a massive attack against our forces in a war we didn't start! What a crime!

Anyway, worst PM that springs to my mind is Neville Chamberlain for his appeasement. Then again, you probably think his successor, Churchill, is a war criminal for killing Nazis.

It's different from a state funeral only that it doesn't require a motion in parliament, and that her carriage is drawn by horses instead of sailors. In reality, it is simply that the term 'state funeral' is reserved for monarchs and the most extraordinary military leaders and civilians (like Nelson and Churchill).

    Where to? Glasgow?

    Anywhere but the UK.
North Korea - probably the only country which hasn't embraced Thatcher's policies to some degree!

Its a horrible prospect, I think instead we should privatize her funeral. Brands and business' from all over the world should attend and show there wares. There should be advertisements on her coffin and around the cemetery and, yes it should be televised with a ratio of maybe 15 minutes of ads for every 5 of the ceremony.

    Sounds quite fitting to me.

Take your socialist manifesto elsewhere. Some of us our mourning and you politicizing it, is distasteful. Have a debate on her policies, fine, but it seems convenient that just three days after the passing from Earth to Heaven you're criticizing her. Think of her family and how they would feel if reading your post, yah?
    Thank you!
