In the sections where you have to pick between questions what happens if you did them all by accident? Will you still be marked or would they not award them to you?
They mark it all, in the questions where you had to choose between two, the marker will award you with the mark of the question you got highest in. Eg, if you got 13 marks in Q5 and 14 marks in Q6, they will award you with 14. The same applies for Paper 2.

They'll not mark the stuff you put a line through. The SQA are strict like that. But they'll mark the remaining of Q6 which you didn't put a line through and award you with the 2 highest marks you acheieved out of the 3 questions.

In Higher Geography if you write down the wrong question number for an answer do you still get the marks?! I made this mistake in paper 2 today.. I did question 1 and 6 but in question 6 I missed out 6a and when I did 6b I wrote 6a instead. So in Q6 each answer has the wrong question letter next to it... PEASE REPLY!! THX

For Q4b) in Paper 1, do you have to actually write the word 'schemes' in your answer? I wrote stuff like, 'The government has built one-way streets, eg. Hope Street, to keep traffic flowing and prevent congestion.' and didn't mention the word 'scheme'. And I never got taught about any schemes so I just wrote other things such as, 'New multi-storey car parks were built to reduce the number of cars parking on the sides of streets.' Are the things I just wrote actually schemes?

This is really important because if I lose these 10 marks, then it may have robbed me by a whole grade
No, they're not going to mark you down for not stating 'xy scheme'. There's quite a few issues with multi-storey car parks creating congestion, so depending on how you worded the question, the marks could go either way there. You'll get marks for one-way streets, though! Did you mention any other examples? I discussed park and ride schemes, the London congestion charge scheme, permit holder parking, car-pooling schemes, pedestrianized zones, one-way streets and speed bumps.

Yeah, I also mentioned pedestrianised zones, the M8 to allow through-traffic to miss the CBD, building bridges & tunnels, car-pooling, improving public transport to attract more customers, extending train platforms to allow more train carriages on trains and gave some named examples for a few of them. Would they be counted as schemes?

So basically the stuff that I didn't revise came up :s Hydropgraphs, CBD traffic, sand dunes. So glad Industry and Atmosphere were optional questions!

Paper 2 was somewhat okay. Rural Land Resources was a good question. Praise the lord it wasn't limestone!

Development & Health was a bit dodgy. The first two questions really threw me.

Overall, I think it was moderately okay!

Is Geography a hard subject to achieve a B Grade? I felt Paper 1 went okay although I didn't manage to finish the final question (Q8) mainly due to the fact I attempted 3 optional questions by mistake. Paper 2 was terrific in my opinion, the rural land resources question was predictable along with the development of health although I'm not Going to pretend that I didn't make up sand spit a little bit. I'm hoping for a B overall

Anyone know if the sqa changes grade boundaries for geography or is it always 70% for an A? I estimate I got about 75% overall

They change the grade boundaries every year according to how well everyone did.

Assuming it's 70%, your looking at being allowed to drop 60 marks across the whole paper. And still get an A. Now say that's 30 each paper. That's like attempting the first 4 questions of paper one, one whole question and a half question on paper 2. (Assuming you get full marks in attempted questions). Or roughly dropping 5 marks per question in paper 1 and about 15 per question on paper 2. And your not gonna drop that much per question that you don't pick back up again in another one!

I think the optional questions this year will be
Lithosphere or Atmosphere
And
Industry or population
You're an amazing predictor aha!

Only answered Development and Health in paper 2...not really sure how I done that...

I am getting really concerned about my grade as I didn't finish paper 1 either. My sand dune answer was also terrible.
